| There is a New Sushi Restaurant in My Town | | | | I hope it survives because they make good sushi and are fairly-priced. I'm concerned that they won't make it because a lot of businesses come and go in that spot throughout the years I have lived here. Also, Belchertown, for the most part, is a very stereotypical New England meat and potatoes community. What about you? Do new restaurants arrive in your town? Do you have sushi bar? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | There are a few spots like that here where I live. It's like the location is bad luck or something. In this one particular spot, I think I've seen 3 or 4 restaurants open up there and lasted for only a few months. There was a Mexican restaurant, followed by a place called Go Green (healthy food), and one serving Italian food. And the location isn't really an issue either since it's around the major shopping area. I think it had more to do with the competition around them, like Olive Garden, Hometown Buffet and others. Besides the Japanese places, I've seen a lot of other restaurants open up in the last few years. A lot of them are doing very well too. It's been a while since I've seen one close down. There are actually a few Japanese restaurants in town and they do have their own unique sushi bar. The newest one just opened a few months back but I'm not sure how it's doing. I've eaten there, the food was good but the price was a bit steep compared to the other sushi places in town. My favorite sushi bar is a really small one on the other side of town. There are only enough seats for like five people at the bar and there are 5 tables in the place. But it does have a homey feel to it and the food is delicious and priced reasonably. The business has been around for years too which is very good. It's ranked as one of the best oriental food restaurant in the city (that's very good considering the amount of Chinese, Thai and other restaurants in the area). | | | | | | | | | | Long Term Food Storage Official Site of MyFoodStorage MyFoodStorage.com | add comment | | | |

| | I live in a suburban area so we have lots of different restaurants to eat at and sushi places are common. I came from a very small town though so I know what you mean, many international restaurants tried to set up shop but it was rare for any to last too long despite how good the food was. Hopefully you get lucky and the sushi place is able to survive! | | | | | | | | | | Your Favorite Restaurant Could be featured for 50-90% off today.
