marie osmond's 18 yr. old son dies  

He came from such a strong family with such deep religious roots that I'm just astonished. I suppose that it proves that if it can happen in a family like the Osmonds, it can happen to anyone. I know that she must be devastated and my prayers go out to her. He was only 18 and he suffered from depression. How sad.

hi classycat Oh I am so sorry for Marie Osmond,its so sad for
any parent to lose a child to suicide like that. It is plain
bone crushing painful to lose any child , as I know myself. We
lost our little girl when she was only eight, she died of a
ruptured aneurysm in her throat, we did not even know such a
thing could happen. The pain has subsided as it was now long ago
but the memories are still very fresh and it is still painful
to think about it.

This is very sad. I checked CNN.COM a little bit ago and saw something about it so I googled it, too. It's so tragic that this young man was so depressed at 18 that he thought his only option was to jump out the window. I know that his family has got to be in a state of shock. My prayers are with them.

Gosh! Marie Osmond was the female American Idol of my youth. Her brother Donny was the male counterpart. I didn't know much after their Donny and Marie Show except that Marie had gotten married, divorced later (was I right?), and nothing much. To learn that her son had died, and suicide at that, is really horrible. I do pray that Marie gets that support she needs so much now. Depression is a terrible disease. No one knows the onset is slowly destroying the person. Her son must have gone through lonely moments without realizing it. I do feel sad.

That's so sad. You know everyone feels that way to a degree as a teenager. I know I did. The pressure from middle school thru high school is very difficult.

I wonder though what about him that he thought didn't fit in? When I was in school you had to have the right look & clothes and of course that took money my mother didn't have. But money was not his issue to fit in to get the look of his peers then what was the cause of his sorrow?

I hope he's happier wherever he maybe after this life.
