Hi All I'm a freak about new clothes... They smell commercial and I hate that new smell... I wonder if someone blew their nose on them ot stuck buggers to them. I will wear none before I wear out of the package or off the rack panties!! xoxoxoxo

if i bought new panties of course i need to wash them first before wearing them as they might be itchy since i dont know what they do or where they put them before they sold it to the store. just to be safe since it will be wearing with a very private part of our body. i cant imagine myself wearing new panty without washing it might be itchy or something.

Well depends, sometimes they are still into the boxe and then inside a plastic foil, other times are just touchable by everyone, so you never know what you can get by wearing them, in the first case I would usually wear them without any problem, in the second case I would certainly wash them first and then wear, that is if we are tlaking about panties. In the case of socks I really don't mind since I change them very often and it's the same thing than when we walk on out bare feet of on the sand at the beach.

Mom taught me to wash everything before I wear it. The chemicals used to put a finish on the products and the dyes and stuff may irritate the skin. That is not to mention that you do not know what the people are like who made them and packaged them.

It depends - if the packaging says to wash before wearing i wash it. If it doesnt and i need to wear it right away - i dont wash it i just wear it. If i purchase the clothing/underwear from say somewhere like La Senza where everyone just diggs through the piles of panties I definitly wash before wearing!

After see a special on the Today Show this morning I will never wear any underwear that are not prepackaged again. They had this thing on about people returning underwear to places after they had been worn. And I will certainly wash even the prepackaged ones before I wear them. That episode this morning was scarry and I can't believe people would do that. I have previously purchased underwear that I did not like but I simply threw them away. I would never dream of trying to return them to the store.

Stores generally won't accept returns on undies or swimwear, for that matter, even if the item was bought minutes before and the person changed their mind before even leaving the store.

I thought that true too until I watched the piece this morning. The thought of someone returning those items gives me the creeps.

hi! i don't wear panties, because i am not a girl, but I actually don't need to wash my underwear after i have bought it, because i know it is clean. i mean, i know that no one has worn it, because here it is not allowed that we can try on underwear!

LOL I always wear washed clothes, even if I buy new brand panties I don't know if anybody else has tried the undies before me. So I ' d better play it safe and wash every clothes or underwear that I buy.

I wash my panties when ever I buy them, not the ones that come in the pack though. The reason I was them has nothing to do with the smell but instead I hate to think about all the things that have happened to them before I got them and bought them. I just think about when I am browsing through the racks and when one accidently drops on the floor or when I walk around with them in my hand before I change my mind and put them back. I would hate to have all those little "germies" on my nether regions! :)

We really are supposed to wash them first even just because of the dyes that they use and chemicals that arent good for us to wear them before being washed. I dont wash mine first. I actually love the smell of new clothes. The stores around here wont allow us to try on panties to see if they fit and we also cannot return them if we buy them and get them home and they dont fit. Its not fun to lose out on money when you buy something like that which wont fit but I understand why it is that way for sanitation reasons.

Hi. raydene. If they are brand new and have not been opened I will wear them without cleaning them. But if they are panties that are off of the rack, I will wash them before wearing them.

I might wear them if the package they came in was unopened, but most of the time I wash things before I wear them, just to be safe.
