Obama vs. the 10th Amendment By Chuck Norris

Wow! Another great article by my ex-heart throb. I so agree with what he says about the government getting too large and too powerful. And the government doesn't have the smarts to make up a good and lasting health care system. But what is the answer? We do need something done.

Hi Lakota. I think that Chuck Norris is a very smart man and I would like to see him president of an independent Republic of Texas. I think that Obama is pushing an illegal program for national health care right now because Obama knows that come november a lot of democrats will probably be replaced om congress by republicans. I think that a lot of the American people are tired of Obama spending money we do not have and pushing a national health plan that many Americans just do not want. Very many of us are tired of Obama pushing his agenda of promoting abortion. Many of us do not like of the idea of it being legal to have children killed in abortion, to have their legs and arms torn off and their brains crushed. It is time to remove the democrats from office by the ballot box.

Hi Lakota12, I hate to say this but not only politicians in America but everywhere including ours the UK are too interested in lining their own pockets and no matter what the 'we the people want or say, it falls on deaf ears,they should go back and read their history books on Thomas Jefferson and the likes to start learning again from them, its the people that counts, not the politicians, after all they are the ones that should be serving us, not serving themselves lining their pockets. I agree with Dr. Atlas that power be taken away from the government and given to American consumers, us, me and you, and health care costs would go down when patients buy their own health care. The Government should give us things like tax credits and help us, the people of these United States buy our own health care ins. if we so chose to do so. "We would do well also to consider creative ideas such as changing federal payments to state-based medicaid plans to individual vouchers or expanding health savings accounts, as has been done in South Carolina." end of quote. ON a personal level I see the government doing a take over type of thing to the US and that sucks. Ever since Obama came into "power" all our lives have been tormented by what is going to happen next. I'd like to see the US people happy again.

People who object to a national health-care system often hold up Medicare as an example of why the federal government should not be involved in health care. Medicare is actually one of the most effective and efficient programs the federal government has ever operated. For all of the problems associated with Medicare, its administrative costs run about 2%, compared with costs of 20% to 26% for administration of privately-run plans. Wonder why your insurance costs so much? There is one big reason. We spend a bigger portion of our GDP on health care than any of the other developed nations, and most of us get less for our money than they do. Every time somebody who has no insurance and no money uses the emergency room for a primary-care physician, your medical costs go up.

I agree with Chuck Norris...and with Thomas Jefferson; health care starts with the consumer and ends with local and state government. The Federal Government has no business in this domestic issue. Where the Federal Government has broken the Constitution by getting involved in health care (Medicare, e.g.) it's failed and the Federal Government needs to get out of the States' business.
