going beyond the Pacquiao/Clottey fight: there was something wrong, isn't?  

I am not thinking the Clottey was paid in that fight because I think it just is not a good mark for his boxing career if he would just allow his record to be tainted like this one. But I agree with you that the fight was boring because I could see that Manny was so eager to fight while Clottey kept on retreating back and seldom does he counter punch. I think even the 10th round where Clottey was said to have won I really think it was Manny that allowed it to happen so Clottey woudl fight him but then after the 10th round he was again on the retreat again.

i know it someone will come out with this kind of accusation anyway its your right, but i don't see it that way... will you sale you integrity for a money i don't think clottey is the guy...

if this is true then its true also to say that dela hoya is been paid to loss the fight compare the fight you will see almost similar...scenario,.

Manny was his usual self when he fought clottey. There was his smile when he was entering the ring and his face showed excitement to give people entertainment. There was no sign that there was something out of the ordinary during the fight. I saw that Manny wants to slug it out with clottey but clottey keeps avoiding him. If anyone is to blame it's clottey for not boxing it out with Manny. I overheard clottey's corner kept telling him to fight since they are losing every round. You can even hear his ring mans desperation just for clottey to fight. Based on that, i can't say that there something fishy going on. Even Manny would refuse such an agreement. They choose clottey because they thought he was worthy of the fight but it turned out more of a disappointment. Not every boxer will be given an opportunity to fight Manny, considering what he is now.

I find it also boring to watch and I don't think it's Manny's fault. Manny did his best and Clottey was just there covering up maybe purposely do it to earn the easy way. I don't think that Clottey was just paid to loss.

You are right the Pacquiao-Clottey fight was boring. Pacquiao was throwing all the punches and Clottey was just trying to defend himself from Pacman's punches. Not much exchange of punches during the fight, that is why i turned out to be a boring match. Did not even look like a fight at all but it was more like Manny practicing on his punching bag! And yes, some people did earn much money from this fight!
