I find it hard to believe that Tucker talked Ashley down

Tucker II is acceptable as a villain, but I don't think he has much emotional range. I tend to cringe whenever he's shown interacting with people on a deeper level beyond trying to do them in...he just doesn't come across as genuine to me. It doesn't seem very likely that he would be able to reach Ashley in her emotionally disturbed state and help her realize that running away with the baby would have been wrong. Another Abbott could have done that. Neil could have done that. Perhaps even Victor, given their history together...but Tucker, the guy who took over Jabot? I didn't find their interaction at the airport very convincing at all. I'm glad that Ashley isn't going on the run -- we haven't even been able to rescue Jana yet so we certainly don't need another missing person -- but I find it odd that Tucker was the one to talk her down. Tucker I would have fit that scene much better, I think.

I am sure that Tucker running into Ashley at the airport was not by accident. I think Tucker knew that Ashley was there. I wish Ashley would realize that Faith is not her child, but Sharons. I do not blame Sharon for wanting a DNA test. I did not think that Ashley would run away with the baby since Sharon could actually get Ashley on a kidnapping charge.

I think Ashley is slowly coming to grips with the fact that Faith probably isn't hers even though she can't openly admit that. Eileen Davidson has done a nice job playing Ashley as she's gone through this crisis. Hopefully Sharon and Nick will do all they can to involve Ashley in Faith's life. It's not entirely out of the question that Ashley won't flip out, but I'm hoping she's got a handle on things now.

I was surprise that Tucker talked Ashley into not running away. When she showed up back at the house I was very glad so they would not drag out people search for Ashley for weeks and weeks.

Yep, it was definitely a good idea not to create another long story about Ashley being on the run. Did you notice that Tucker later visited Ashley at her home and comforted her as she tried to deal with the possibility of losing Faith? I guess Neil now may have a competitor for Ashley's affections. I think Neil and Ashley make the better couple, but someone who is attracted to Victor might well fall for someone like Tucker too. Poor Ashley...she has one heartache after another!

He was a very unlikely choice. I guess they couldn't think of anyone else who might just happen to run into her at the airport.

I have a hard time with this new Tucker as he played Stephan Cassidine on GH and was perfect for that role! I so much liked the original Tucker..he had that role perfect. But this one..he just doens't have enough emotion or even mobility to protray Tucker good enough. I"m bored with him already! But as Stephan...I wish they'd (GH) bring him back! I didn't even watch YR today. Getting boring!!
But how about a match between him and Ashley? That'd be a good one! Better than Neil!
I have been slowly getting bored with it... yet another kidnapping (Jenna) and of course Lily and her cancer...we all knew it wasn't going to be done with just after the kemo but it was so wrong of Daniel to talk her into telling Cane it didn't work. She should have done exactly as she planned to do so that Cane would go back to Aussie and do whatever it was he had to do and then come home. She knew he'd try to escape if he knew and as she predicted, he did escape today (okay, I saw the last 10 mintues today!) How stupid was that. Now she can feel really guilty and bad when he is in prison for awhile and then deported, instead of just in another country for awhile.
I"m tired of the baby switching and think they need to give Jack back Jabot so that they can use that senerio to make some new storylines. Where's Gloria? She spices it up all the time! And of course BIlly...he turned out to be really fun!

Was Stephan Cassidine a villain on GH? I definitely agree with you that the original Tucker had the role down pat. What I heard was that Y&R originally wanted Tucker II for the role but he wasn't available at the time...when he did become available, they snapped him up. The powers that be didn't know when they had a good thing going!
I actually blame Cane more than I do Lily. Lily ought to be able to share the results of her chemo with her husband without Cane going rogue and knocking out an immigration official. She begged him not to try to escape and he still did it! How stupid is Cane to think he'll be able to stay by Lily's side when he's a fugitive who has now committed a violent offense? All he's done is make things worse.

Maybe the fact that Tucker has no emotional attachment to Ashley or anyone involved is why it worked. He had no agenda where she and faith are concerned and everyone else does at the moment. Either way I too am glad that they aren't going to keep dragging out this storyline, poor Janna has been in that cell for days now and we haven't even seen her, it's time to start winding up some of these story lines that have been dragging on far too long for me.

I guess you could be right, but Ashley had a reason not to trust and to actually dislike Tucker. After all, she knows what he did to Katherine! He's also the reason the Abbotts have no connection with Jabot at the moment.
You're so right about Jana! I can accept some draggy storylines, but leaving a person locked up in a cell and moving on to other stories just doesn't seem right to me. Unfortunately, even Kevin seems to think Jana has really left him now. I wonder how long it will take for "Mama Bear" to be revealed finally.
