I found a shopping list today that had "GUM" written on the top of the list.

Hi friend, I don't know whose list you show and probably u r referring to chewing gum, as gum. In our country there is "GUM" which is eaten by ladies after delivery as it is good for them. They made sweets using gum, dryfruits and suger. It is healthy and advisable to have it after pregannacy. May bethe list belongs to such a lady who has recently delivered a baby and gum is so much important for her.

LOL I probably wouldn't have put it on a shopping list hun, but then again some people find it easier to write down everything on the list so they don't forget.

I know I wouldnt. havent bought any gum for years. \ They must of really wanted to remeber to buy gum thats for sure

Oh I know who. MY MOTHER! Gum is a necessity for her when I take her grocery shopping. Or on the occasion that my dad does their grocery shopping, she tells him not to forget gum. The woman is obsessed with gum. Because her jaw keeps popping, the doctor told her to switch to mints. Now she has mints at the top of her list! And I'm serious. Gum and mints are on the top of her grocery list, 85% of the time.

My dad did - he was trying to stop smoking. Gum - non nicotine stuff helped him.

It may not be for the one who is buying it but for the little one at home who must have given those orders or else... If he/she returned without the 'GUM' I can well imagine the scene in the house and therefore putting it on the top of the list sounds reasonable to me!

ME, a grandma who's grandsons hunt for gum in her pockets and are upset when she doesn't have any :) I try to find gum with no sugar but they are on to me and I have to be careful LOL
