I don't really know if it is constitutional or not, but it does seem to be another invasion of privacy of a sort. If it's not legal for a cop to hide behind a sign in a speed trap, then why would this be OK?! Plus, I've seen on the news several times where they got the license plate in the picture, but couldn't prove who was driving. In a family where there's more than one person driving a vehicle, or a person lends it to a friend or something, it doesn't seem quite fair to the owner of the vehicle to bear the expense. It definitely is 'big brother' to say the least. I don't speed, nor do I drive through stop signs, so I don't really have a problem, but it's still a loss of a right in a way.

I actually dont mind traffic cameras myself to be honest. In my small community we have 1 set of lights which were set up last summer and I had no idea what the cameras were. When I moved to the city for school they have them on basicaly every set of lights. Ive never ran a red light before and hopefully none in the future. But I know people who are in a hurry or just dont want to wait at the lights.

i guess its alright to have those camera for our own safety like what happened before, i saw in the news that while the girl was walking theres a car stop beside her and trying to get her bag and she went to the police station about it and they saw the car in the video including the man as they have the capacity to zoom it. another one was an old lady that was force to get inside the car everyone saw it and report it to the police and they were able to trace the location of the car, they even saw it running along the run way and they were able to stop them. they will serve as public eye 24 hours a day for people's safety.
