sorry this comment is late. i inadvertently skipped your response.
incidents such as these maybe common in some places but of course, it is our duty to help in making it peaceful and livable by being keen observants and by reporting the same to the authorities.
am also happy that nothing untoward happened while you were in the hospital. it is good you stayed and waited for a better moment to go home.
