my friends in mylot, i am happy i finished my days work early today and i started gathering my things so i could go home early. suddenly i heard the guards on the radio reporting of a bag left near one of the stalls just below the building where our office is located. no one seems to be claiming the bag and no one saw any suspicious person leaving it there. these guards were briefed very well on things like this so as to avoid accidents. we do not want to be too lax with security measures in the area. i had to stay put until everything is cleared. just last month there were two incidents of bomb but the bomb squad with their sniffing dog was able to dismantle it without any accidents. not in our area, but the central bank. after 15 minutes, they have confirmed that it contained only clothes and a pair of sunglasses. whew!!! that is how my day ended at the office today. ann

Hi ann Such incidents have become so common these days, in railway plat forms, compartmets, bus stops, i am happy you are safe, but i can well imagine the strain one faces till the stuff is declared on safe I add my recent experience, i had been to the hospital with my wife, we faced some similar situation and held up till late night, it was not possible to get a vehicle to come back Thanks for this post Happy posting, cheers Professor here

dear professor, sorry this comment is late. i inadvertently skipped your response. incidents such as these maybe common in some places but of course, it is our duty to help in making it peaceful and livable by being keen observants and by reporting the same to the authorities. am also happy that nothing untoward happened while you were in the hospital. it is good you stayed and waited for a better moment to go home. have a nice day. ann

I think this is just a fact of life today, it's best just to wait until everything is clear. You time is not more important than your life.

Hi ann, that is an experience I can do without. It must have been frightening. I guess the fifteen minutes seemed much longer. Glad that it all worked out without any anyone getting hurt. Mike.

dear bodhi, it sure is some adrenalin rush. things are happening so fast hence all people should be vigilant. we dont want anything bad happening that would result to something worst so we make it a habit to be keen of our surroundings. thank you for the wishes. ann
