How many glasses of water should a toddler drink?  

A child between the ages 1 to 3 requires about i.3 litres of water per day.

I hope you are aware that juice has very much sugar in it. Some juices have more sugar in them than Coca Cola!
I know that it is recommended to give them (fruit) tea without sugar or sweetener instead of juices if they don't like pure water.

There are numerous web sites out there that will configure the required amounts of water for you. All you do is enter the weight of the person & answer a few questions about activities & weather & they tell you how much should be required. Another way to determine if you're drinking enough water is to gauge the fluid output by checking the child's urine. If the urine isn't clear to light yellow, increase the water intake.Another way is by checking the child's bowels. If the child suffers from constipation or hard, dense stools, it could be that they need to drink more water. Dehydration leads to constipation. Increase the child's intake of water & fiber consumption until they regularly produce soft, bulky stools.

These may not be as scientific as some formulas out there, but now they are warning us about drinking too much water causing water toxicity. So, I trust my body to tell me if I need to drink more water or not. We also get part of our needed water through our food & juices we drink, so the body is much more reliable in my humble opinion!!! hi! well, as i know we all must drink at least 1.5 liter of water a day in order to "function" proper, but i am not sure about the small kids! but i guess at least 0.5 liters
