my daughter wants a black cat

my daughter loves cat so much. she's five years old. Lately she's been telling me that she wants a black cat. She's really searching for it. In our place there's a lot of cats in the streets and every time she likes one she picks them and bring it home. my problem is everytime she search for the cat she wants she bring home new born kittens, now there are three new born cats in our house but she still in search for a black cat. I think I know what my daughter would be when she grow up.

are these newborn kittens still on bottles or are they eating on their own?
Newborn kittens are on bottles like a baby human, but by 6 weeks they are eating on their own.
I've had newborn kittens, well, a week old kittens, and they are a LOT of work.

they are still on bottles and she actually are feeding them religiously. that is why I am so proud of her she is being responsible to those kittens that she brought home. I am new in taking care of cats. Honestly I don't have the kind passion that my child has but since I'm seeing her so into it I'm helping her a lot.

I always had a black cat for a pet when I was little. My cats had to be black. It was easy to find black cats back then but they've become extremely rare in my area of Pennsylvania for some reason. We hardly ever see them now.

It sounds like you have a little Vet in the making, or an animal rescue officer. Kittens are a lot of hard work, so it's good to see she's looking after them properly.

I have a black cat and we love her. Her name is Blackee. I used to bring home stray cats myself when I was younger. At one time we had five cats and mymother knew she could not get rid of them because she knew that I would cry. One time my mom had taken a stray cat to the pound and when the lady told us that if the cat was not adopted in the next few days the cat will be euthenized. I could not see that happening to a defenseless cat.

I love black cats! They're beautiful animals (looks like panthers!), but in Italy no one would go for a black cat, since it's believed they bring bad luck! If such a cat crosses the way when you're on a car you should stop the car and wait 'till 3 other cars have passed! Ridiculous, but true! Ciao!
