Thank you, Nanny Yeager. Now shut up and leave me to my Happy Meal and toy... What don't these people understand about freedom, personal responsibility, etc.?

It is worth a try. It is my opinion that enticing kids to eat junk food by offering free toys is morally wrong and should be outlawed.

There are far too many health problems in western societies these days and the majority of this blame has to lie with fast food corporations and the media that promote them. I have watched TV during kids programming times and seen how they operate. It is disgusting if you ask me.

Perhaps I am too opinionated on this subject, but am I wrong to care about the health of our children?

Well, I am glad of that. Those toys have WAY too many calories! Goodness, it was the healthiest thing in the box! People need to mind their own stinkin business.

Why does everything think government must do everything? It's really overstepping its bounds, both feds and state.

Rather than get rid of the toy or tell McDonald's how to market their food, why don't officials like that work on one of the REAL causes of obesity--the lack of freshly cooked food at home because mom and dad are both busting their butts trying to make ends meet. If one of them could work less or better still, stay home to raise their children, they could cook fresh food that is healthy for the kids.

Far-fetched idea? Sure, but until we get back to the nuclear family with one parent at home, there's not much that will permanently improve. If we could allow one parents to be home for the kids we would see a drop in obesity, crime, dropping out of school, bullying, and so many other things.
