Are you afraid of tornadoes/severe weather?  

I am not afraid, like you said, every place has some type of weather. I believe that when my time comes, worrying about will not help.

I live in Texas, howdy neighbor. I wouldn't say I am afraid of that type of weather, but I do respect it. I have been a Skywarn weather spotter for many years now, so I have seen threatening weather a little closer than some. I am not going to try to confront it, Mother Nature is way stronger than I could ever be, but I do respect it and act accordingly. If there is threatening weather you do need to keep an attentive eye to the sky. The one that bothers me the most is people thinking they can drive through high water, or moving water over the road. What they don't seem to take into consideration, not only are they putting themselves in danger, but they are also putting the lives of the responders in danger.

The one thing I'm more afraid of is tornadoes and any type of high winds. We have had some really windy days lately to the point that we thought the windows were going to blow out. That is very scary to me. However, living in New Mexico tornadoes have not happened here but I believe they can happen anywhere at anytime just like an earthquake.

I am afraid of severe weather conditions. I am not so sure why, but the idea of a tornado hitting home or a flood just scares the bleeps out of me. The problem with natural disasters is that they can happen anywhere, and to anyone - regardless of place, time, or even who you are. It's just an interesting thing to be afraid of, but we shouldn't be.

Well i appreciate your braveness and practical way of dealing life. I am the same kind too. I always like to see the tornadoes and i feel its always nice when we take steps to adapt any climate than to fear for the life.

we dont have tornados in our country and i guess its more dangerous coz it will really take away everything like your house and car or even animals nor whatever you have outside your house once hit by it. in our country we only have typhoon though we can prepare for it even if it becomes strong typhoon, though sometimes we are not advised that the typhoon is that strong so people are just confident enough to stay in their home without knowing that there might be a possible floods coming.

of course but being on the east coast we don't see alot of severe weather the worst we would ever get is a hurricane even then they aren't powerful enough to do much damage but any storm is scary enough to think of let alone be in

Before, when we were living in Manila, I am not afraid of severe weather. We don't have tornadoes here, as far as I know and I was never worried about that. We had floods but that was the worse. Not until we moved here to the province. "Frank" taught me to be scared of such things. A lot of people died, the capital of the province was buried in mud and we did not have electricity for a month.
