Where have you overslept?

Have you heard about that British professor who overslept in a plane and woke up in a plane hangar 90 minutes after it landed?
We were joking about this at ‘the watercooler’ at work today, and we had examples of oddest places where we overslept. One guy at work had something similar, but on the bus. He woke up at bus depot. Another was sleeping in a class and woke up after several noises on the succeeding class.
There was a time when I had a regular job, a part time job, and I was taking classes at nights. My regular job was at a ship-building dock. We would be working on one of the top most cabins, and had to go down to the docks for our breaks. Sometimes, instead of making the trek down, I would just sleep at where we were at. One time I overslept on one of the beds in the cabin. It wasn’t odd, because I was in a bed, in a cabin. But my supervisor disagreed.
Have you overslept anywhere? Where was the oddest place you’ve overslept?

Movie theater..my friends thought it would be funny to leave me..I woke up half way through the second movie, almost the same place I fell asleep at the first show,I didn't realize how much time had passed, I thought I had just dozed off for a quick second so I finished watching the movie. Served my friends right they thought I would wake up when the second one started and would come running out embarassed, happy to say the joke was more on them as they sat in the parking lot waiting!!

Haha!
You must have been very tired to sleep for more than 2 hours, and through intermission! That was a long wait for your friends! Serves them right!
What an interesting day tomorrow! Last day for the regular season. Dance partners for the playoffs still have not been decided. Did I say I didn't want to face your wings in the first round?

The most frequent place I overslept is in bus. Previously, when my bus stop is not in any interchange, I would end up overslept for a few bus stops. Then I have to walk a few bus stops back to get to another bus to get home. Now that my bus stop is in the interchange, I still overslept. In one instance, there's no one waking me up and the bus driver after driving the bus to the parking area, approach me and wake me up. Then I realised that all the passengers are already gone and I'm the only one in the bus.

LOL, Hey there Bounce. Very funny story about the guy over sleeping on the plane and waking up in the hangar. I am very surprised that the staff didn't notice him. I wonder if they were reprimanded.
I did fall asleep on the school bus as a kid when I was very tired, or just extremely bored. However, I usually woke up when it came to my stop. So, I guess I haven't really fallen asleep anywhere that was really hilarious, and not woke up at the appropriate time.
However, about a month ago, I had a terrible cold. I was very busy at work, so I wasn't able to call in sick and take off the day or take a personal day. Instead I took a healthy dose of medicine, which had quite a kick. While I was sitting there, at my desk, I almost fell asleep. I caught myself though, and I am glad. Because that would not have gone over very well. I don't think my boss would have found it as humorous as the guy who overslept on the airplane. LOL

That was what I was thinking. Don't cleaners come in to tidy up the place after each flight? It's either he was really in deep sleep or the plane did not get cleaned, and was sent straight into the hangar. I would panick if it happened to me! Unless of course there was an open door, where I could get out.
I've dozed off a few times in front of my monitor at work when I am not feeling too good. Luckily, I haven't been caught yet!

Can't really sleep in planes. I did fall asleep at the Volksoper in Vienna once. It was the valium. lol

Back pain aggravated by sitting too long... The valium didn't knock me out on the plane ride, ironically, but at the opera, at people's houses lol...

I usually over sleep when I don't have my alarm clock to wake me up or when I don't set it to wake me up.
