While it is easy to complain for inconveniences especially from services, thanking those who rendered them is not so common for some of us. It might be because we have already paid them or just ignore a good service. However, just like any of us, it is such a wonderful feeling that someone commend our good effort. Are you the kind of person who thank some good service rendered to you ??? Can you share the incident ? Thanks for the response.

i guess thank you is so simple to say, so what could be the reason for those people who seems to hard to appreciate the works of others for them. even in the house, it is a great feeling to hear kids saying thank you to their parents and vice versa. even our 3 year old kid now already knows how to appreciate things.

hi, It is very common to complaint on any service or people and it is not an offence as in some place complaint boxes are provide to put complaint. It can improve the service of the organisation or person and give him a chance to known the mistakes. The point here is when we give complaints then why do not we give good comments if the service is good. I think postive comments like Thank you can boost their confidence and may improve their service. Even in schools we are taught to thank for any service which include teachers. I always thank even for asking an enquiry in reception. In Pizza hut i always thank the whole team for giving such a good service by ringing the bell which is provided for thanking. ;)

Hi friend! Indeed it is so easy to complain about so many things. I myself do complain a lot when I found the services not reaching my expectation and sometimes I had to control myself from talking. Well I am quite a perfectionist actually. I want my the money I paid for the services to be compensated always. But I am also one person who acknowledge the good services rendered unto me. Like when we eat in restaurants, when I see the crews serving us well enough, then I give good tips but if unsatisfied with the services I give zero tips. I am generous to those who satisfies my expectation.

Just this morning, I took a cab going to my friend's house. I have given the driver a tip and thank him for bringing me to my destination safely. I think saying our appreciation by a simple "thank you" can be a great way to brighten someone's day. I hope that my simple gesture will give the driver a positive aura on his next passenger.

I always thank people for good services rendered. It always happen when we are eating in a restaurant. I always thank the waiter for the good services and we also give them some tips especially if they are really good at what they are doing. There have been many times that I didnt give any tip or even said thanks cause the services were really bad. I think they dont deserve praises if they are not giving you the right kind of service.

I try to be courteous, and thank everyone for something they did, or tried to do..no matter what. Just something I was taught to do. It is a respect thing to. Well, when I had dial up...and could no longer use PeoplePC I tried NetZero...who told me they had a local number that I would be able to dial up to..so happily I gave them all my account information set up a new account..and this is after them telling me that yes..they had several numbers that I should be able to use. They told me to look for my package that had the disk to install their program..so when it came 3 days later I was excited..after not having net for a month....so installed their internet...and wham...no local dial up numbers..Nada.. So checked my bank..they had already taken the $12.95 which they Shouldn't have that soon...being they said they would hold off on that for 30 day...but they did..SO I called them up..asked why they took the money out of my account..they apologized..said it was an accident that they would reimburse me. Since it was supposed to be a month free...and it hadn't been..Well, I thanked them then was transferred to someone else to talk about the tech about it..but nothing he did was able to get me online..so I said thanks for trying even though at that point I was frustrated and beyond.. So then I told them I had no need for something I can't use so once again was transferred to talk to someone about canceling my account. Now it is only 1 day away from the first of the month..when I am doing this... so I cancel...they told me my money should be back in my account in a few days..so I called my bank on the 3rd day..and to my surprise no money had been added but another $12.95 was deducted...talk about temper flaring I called Net Zero..and they said sorry...but since I canceled my account that they charged me for it.. I was like WTF..I never got to use it..only had it for a few days while I waited on package...which was 3 days later..and I was supposed to get a 30 day free trial...well I said thanks..and hung up..my husband was mad at me because of it..took me awhile but I ended up getting fibernet through my local telephone..$10 more then I had been paying..but loving that my phone isn't tied up all the time, or being bumped off when someone calls. But it is also a lesson learned.....okay sorry so long but you asked for it...lol...

Innumerable instances were there wherein the services rendered were appreciable to a phenomenal level. A rich tribute of thanks owe to those yeoman services.

I always make an effort to thank someone who has given me good service! Especially those in the service sector like wait staff, they have such a hard and thankless job. I also let the restaurant or store know in writing what a good job they did. There are so many people who try to provide the best service they can and go the extra mile to make my experience a good one and they deserve my thanks as well as my telling their employers that they are an asset to the company.

Yes of course, I have the attitude of thanking people who rendered good service with us. I guess it is not typical to everyone but here in my country, people usually say thank you when they are rendered good service by other people.

Yes, I think I am the type of person who gets into the habit of thanking good services. I mean, someone doing their job well is always a joy to behold. Therefore, they should be thanked. While I do not have any examples off of the top of my head, I do know that it is always a good thing when there is a good service that is performed. There is just something joyful about that. Given the fact that all of the times when you run into bad services. People doing their job are incompetent at best and surly and rude at the very worst. Yeah, that can be bad times and can be utterly frustrating. It makes you just appreciate all of the good ones to be with you. So thanking a person for actually doing their job right is something that I do. Sadly, I do not have a chance to do it often, due to all of the bad services that I have ran into but oh well, that's life for you.

This is one good trait I learned from my late dad. I remember him always saying thank you when he asked us to do something.

Me and my husband, everytime we go out for lunch and if there is someone who rendered their services to us even in a simple way we always thanking them. It shows that you have appreciated their services, don't just think that you paid them for their services that thanking them is the best way to tell them that they are part just humans right. They deserve to be respect for what they have done to you and be recognize for the effort they shown.

yes i say thank you if i saw their effort of helping me but i also say bad words if i dont like what i see in terms of their service. like i order for food and i received coke instead of sprite and so when i pay it and when the delivery guy ask for me to sign the receipt as my form of acceptance for the foods i dididnt sign it even is he told me that his boss will get angry, i just told him its not my problem. it really pissed me off coz i stay away with any colored soda.

it actually depends to the situation since its really their job to always give good service to the customer but if a can see that they exert effort to it then thats the only time i thank them but normally i just go after payment.

I think I will say thank you to every one who done good for me, especially who serve me good. If someone tread you with respect you will feel warm inside and most of us I think will do the same to that persons. If we thanks a good service we will encourage him to do more.
