It's so hot today, when I worked outside, I had to put my hair up.  

Welcome person from the Philipines. During droughts, I wish the same thing. This is a new spring, a new growing year for us. We have had enough rain. Last year it rained every day, some days only a part of the day, but most days, all day. So this year, I'm hoping it doesn't rain much. It just rained yesterday. That is hot, when you're doing nothing and sweating. Thank you very much for your response.

I'm under orders from a Doctor to wear a hat outdoors. My rosacea, also three medications with the side-effects of make my skin more easily burned. It's almost like being a medically induced Albino.

I would hate that. I get flushed from the sun, but when I am out of the heat I am my same old freckled faced self, only older.

Yes, people forget that winter can also be very sunny and in my area that it can reflect off the snow to get it 2xs.

I started out a red head as a baby, my hair fell out, then came back in white blond, then it kept trying to turn darker. I was stuck with dirty blond hair as a teenager. Ugly stuff, everyone's hair had shine except mine. Then in my 30s people started calling me a brunette, light ash brown. Now it has some grey in it. My hair has always been thin, thanks to menopause, it's even thinner. I'm under orders from my Doctor to wear a hat. Three meds I'm on, blood pressure, rosacea, and allergies. They all make it easier to get sunburn. The only place I've ever not burned is my for arms and hands. Most sunscreens make my rosacea bad. I get hot in a hat, too and sweat more, but I will take the hat off in the shade and fan myself more. I want to loose weight and get rid of at least the blood pressure meds. All those hair colors, must have been a lot of people taking over a lot of people in Europe! I'm probably a Viking, a Swede, and a Roman!

I am mostly gray, on my dark brown hair. I am like a map of Western Europe, but no Spain or Portugal. I also have Native American roots. No meds, just vitamins, though.

I have found that aloe vera cools the pain of my rosacea. Lots of people tell me, "So you're a little red, why put a topical med on it?" Because it feels like a lit match is being pressed against my face. Another friend I had went out-of-her-mind with itching from rosacea. My aloe vera plants have quit growing. I think they need nutrients. Since they grow in poor soil, not sure what ones they've used up.

Until people experience what you are going through, they do not appreciate the suffering. Would fish oil capsules help, perhaps. I know that they are good for blood pressure. I need to lose weight as well. I keep saying it, but not doing it.

I don't know if fish oil would help or not. My Dr. said flax oil for my eyes, at this rate, I'm going to be very oily!

Flax seed oil does basically the same thing.

Must be Eastern Seaboard weather, that's what's happening with us, too.

I hate the hair down around my neck, I used to cut it short, but got tired of having to have it cut all the time, so I started putting it up.

Here, we grown hair for the wintertime. Many people cut it short for summber, but with a style that growns out well for winter. In sub-zero weather, you want all the layers you can get to keep you warm, hat, collar, scarf, hair, anything and everything, knitted necklaces even!

Used to be I would cut it short in the fall so it was long enough to keep my neck warm in the winter and then put it up in the summer, but the last 2 years it didn't get cut.

That's the reverse of the way most people do it here.

Yes, we had a day that went to 80s. I had dressed for the 60s in the morning and thought I would be home by afternoon to change, but I wasn't and I was wishing I had summer clothes on. Thanks for responding and take care.

However the temarature in the UK is not stable. this morning I went out and felt very cold. Luckily I had my scarf. If I didn't have it I think I will get cold to walk one hour.

I live in the south of the UK but recently the temperature of the country is a lot lower than same time of last year. This spring even the daffodil blossomed later than before.

I was surprised to get your reply like that. If you don't mind could you please tell me why do you think you would not write for helium any more. So far I really enjoy helium. I think it's a good site for people who likes writing. I do make a few friends there. I wish i can write more for them and make more from my writing.
So far my time on the site is really worthy.

Originally, if someone read your work, you were paid. So for every three people who read my work, I received a penny. Then when I started to actually make money per article, they stopped that and changed the rules. So then my articles didn't make any money. So now they have all my articles and now I don't receive any money for them. I didn't like the new rules. I felt that I was cheated. The way it was originally set up, you could make money for the rest of your life as long as people kept looking at your articles. I would start discussions about Helium here, people would go view my articles, I would get paid. I signed an agreement when I started with them. I kept my end of the bargain. They changed their rules. So what's to stop them from changing the rules again and I don't get paid for articles again?

I didn't like what they did and I didn't like the way they did it. I'm sure it's fine. If you weren't with them when they changed, great. If you like the new rules, then wonderful. I liked the old rules and the way the site used to be run.

Yes, I heared some writters also said like that. however now I submitted my articles they still paied me. Maybe it's less than before but still not bad compare to other writing website.

I also write for other websites so I can make more money for one article. Now I try to write 10 articles per month so I can have some income. Every little helps.
