Girls night in or girls night out? |
| |
| Since the recession started my friends and I spend many more good old girly nights in instead of going out for drinks or a meal. We just take it in turn to prepare a nice dinner and everyone brings a nibble or a drink with. It's actually good fun and reminds me of being a teenager. Do you prefer nights out or nights in? Do you do this to save money? | | | | | |

| | I'll rather invite everyone to my house. Much more fun to have and we can swim as well. Why waste money and get onto trouble when a house can be so much more relaxed. TATA. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, it is nice. I wouldn't want it every weekend though - too much work! | | | |

| | I love having people over. We do potlucks a lot, as well as dinner parties. During the week if we get together, we tend to drink wine, eat a nice dinner and play scrabble. If we get together during the weekend, we tend to make fancy drinks at home (everyone brings a different ingredient) and we normally end up going out. I live pretty downtown in my city, so we get together here and it normally leads to a night out. But we've already had drinks at home, so we don't need to spend money on alcohol at a bar or whatnot. | | | | | | |

| | i think first ask your self why you go out at night. the answer would be to enjoy. and the second thing you have told that you are enjoying at your home now. so in my view home is the best place for any. if you are in any trouble you would like to be at your home and that matters. i think you must enjoy at your home now. | | | | | | |

| | You are right. But sometimes it's fun going out, meeting different people, different places. Isn't it? | | | |

| | That sounds like alot more fun then going out. Especially in these times when money is tight. When I lived in New York a bunch of us would get together at someone's house and we would bring drinks and my friend would make food. Or we would all bring a dish. It was so much fun hanging out and enjoing ourselves. I think its a bit more safe then going out to a club and drinking to much and getting into touble of some kind or meeting an undesirable person. | | | | | | |

| | It is. I guess it just depends what you expect from the night. I think both going out and staying in have their advantages. | | | |

| | Well i have found there are ways of having a cheep night doing either.I always ensure that i have wine ready at home as i do have a few friends that pop round of an evening and just like this weekend i had friends in and out all weekend and all we done was drink wine.I also went out to the pub and i found that if you have a few drinks before you get there then that saves money, aswell as that if you buy a bottle of wine rather than a glass that is a cheeper way of doing it. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, that's the nice thing of going out with a group of friends. You can reduce the cost by buying a bottle rather than a glass. | | | |

| | Good point. You wouln't want acquaintances in the house if you don't fully trust that they know how to behave in someone else home. | | | |
