why there is no red ball in cricket now..??

we have been watching this game for years but i don't know why the are mot using the red ball now ....well i don't know the reason .....but yes there must be something behind this big change that make them to change the ball color.....there has to be some good and hard reason behind that step ....please tell me if someone knows about this thing........

The red ball is still very much used in the test matches. It has been more or less discarded from the one day game because of the day night matches. But in the test matches we still have the red cherry doing the talking.
Another color being now considered for the ball is the pink ball which is being considered for the day and night test matches as and when it comes into play.
