It is playoff time! And what match ups! in the west Sharks vs Avs, Hawks vs Preds, Canucks vs Kings,Coyotes vs Red Wings. And in the east Caps vs Habs,Devils vs Flyers,Sabres vs Bruins, Pens vs Sens. All of these match up are yummy! am I correct, 4 out of the 6 Canadian teams made the playoffs? Wow. Ok The burning question who will hoist the Cup? My heart says the Caps. my head says I don't know. Your thoughts.

Hi Sarah! I think only 3 of the Canadian teams made it. I know because 2 of them are on the same division as my canucks, and I know both the flames, and the oilers didn't make it. Also the woeful leafs also didn't make it!
Today, we learned that it is going to be LA that we're going to meet in the first round. Very exciting! And truly the most wonderful time of the year. I still have hopes that my canucks will hoist the cup. I hope that the coming weeks will eliminate any doubts. Goodluck to all of us!

The Flames made it! So The Oilers and the Leafs didn't make it. Well, who do you see hoisting the Cup?

OOps. I was reading Coyotes and think flames. Forgive me? Anyway 3 chances for the Cup to get back to Canada is better than none.

I think the playoffs are great. My caps are doing ok and My Red Wings are doing well too. I would like to see the Cup return to Canada.I like The Flames. I was hoping they would win over Tampa but it didn't happen.

well if it makes you feel any better two of the teams that are in this year used to canadian teams colorado used to be quebec and phoenix used to be winnepeg.
I have no doubt that the overwhelming favorite going into the playoffs are the washington capitals as they had an unreal regular season far above anyone in the east and they would be my favorite over the defending champs the penguins.
I just hope my team can get out of the first round seeing as they haven't been in it for a few years and hopefully Miller can steal some games for us, but I don't have any delusions that they will be hoisting the trophy there best team was 3 years ago when they won the president's trophy and lost to ottawa.
I think washington is by far the best team in either conference this year and I'd be shocked if they don't win it, but that is why they play the games and I'm sure they will get a good fight, but I don't think anyone can keep up with their offense for a 7 game series.

The Canucks should do well against the Kings. LA has had a good season - are they satisfied with the good season? Can their young kids handle the playoff pressure, especially goalie Jon Quick? They will under a microscope. Meanwhile, the Nucks had 6 25 goal scorers and depth at the forward positions. The Sedins may be shut down by Handzus' line but the Canucks 3rd and 4th lines are superior.

Although the canucks had a 3-1 record against the Kings, people keep referring to the last meeting where the nucks got a thrashing at the Staples center. But, I agree with you Tremendous machine (of course, I agree!), the canucks have a little more playoff experience than LA, and I hope it'll show starting this Thursday!
