Wedding dress--- buy or hire  

Renting a wedding dress is not always an option, but you have a good idea if it is a choice where you live. We do often rent the suits or tuxedos, though. It might save people a lot of money to rent all of the bridal clothes or to go for more simple weddings that lend themselves to just dressy clothes.

i think its much more better to hire because after married,one will never wear the same wedding gown again unless you are thinking about marrying again in near future.The wedding dress might be outdated or not fit anymore by then,so hiring the dress will be the better choice.
When i married,i gotta tailored made 2 pants which are a little shiny especially the white coloured one.Now just kept it in the cupboard.Thought of wearing it when i go out shopping not long ago but just didn't feel right.Perhaps when i get a second wife !!

I guess it depends if you have the money and you can buy one then you should buy one. Its nice when you can tell what design you would like to have. Its nice when you have a personal touch on your gown. A wedding gown is something that you can keep and will always remind you the day you got married.

But if you have no money then its best you just hire one for practical reason. Besides there no harm in renting one. And theres lots of gown you can choose when you hire one.

As for me id rather choose to buy one not because i have money its just that i want my gown to be special. I like something wherein i can tell what design id like to put on it and how its going to look like. :)

It is a waste to pay so much for a wedding dress only to wear it once, then pack it away. Sometimes, these dresses are passed down to daughters for their wedding but not often. Most women want their own, never-before-worn, wedding gown.

I bought mine. Unfortunately, it lasted longer than my marriage, so I placed an ad in the newspaper and sold it.

The ad I placed said, "Wedding gown, size 6, worn only once, by mistake." I had several people call me and tell me they loved my ad because it made them laugh. I did sell it and I got my asking price, too.

Well I had bought my Dress but if I did get married again I would either Hire or buy one that I know I will be able to wear again
Mine ended in the Bin when I got divorced but all it had been doing is lying in a draw

Since wedding dress is only worn once, it is practical to rent than to buy. It is not only expensive to buy a wedding dress but keeping it is another problem and besides wedding dress designs keep on changing. It is more economical to rent than to buy.

A wedding dress is only used once and it is very expensive. It will appear in photos. Therefore if it is possible it might be worth hiring a wedding dress. It could possibly be worth buying a second hand wedding dress if it is in the right size. I got married in a cream dress that was bought fairly cheaply. We got married in a registry office, had our reception at my sister's flat and then we had our honeymoon in Venice. Sadly we got divorced six years later. In my jewelry box I still have my blue topaz engagement ring and my gold wedding ring. I got rid of my wedding dress.

I think wedding dresses should be hired, but if the style is elegant and you can wear it any where else, then better buy it as its a wedding dress and they are special..

I got married last year. I wasn't sure if it would be best to rent a dress instead of buying one, so I looked at both options. I thought that it would have been a lot cheaper to rent a dress, but when I looked at the prices I discovered that it was pretty expensive to rent a dress, and I decided that I might as well buy a dress instead of renting one, because the prices were almost the same. That is the way it is in my country, I and guess there are other places where it is lot cheaper to rent a dress.

i better buy than hire..because as we all know that wedding occasion comes only once in our life and i would cherish and treasures every accessories i will on my wedding day.. And it is been my wish to have a bridal gown that of my own..don't want to rent it. I don't want to use a bridal gown that was already used by other brides.
