Is Goat's Cheese Considered Dairy?  

I know people who are sensitive to cow's milk, but not sheep or goat milk. You'd just have to try it for yourself and find out. I haven't tried either one myself. I do have a friend who is lactose intolerant who can drink sheep's milk.

Have you been to a doctor to figure out what's wrong? If milk was causing you upset stomach problems, I'd say it was probably lactose intolerance, but I don't think that lactose intolerance causes trouble breathing. Whatever the case, organic milk wouldn't fix the problem, because it's still milk- it just comes from cows who've been fed an organic diet and doesn't have any additives.
Goat or sheep milk and associated products are still dairy, but some people with lactose intolerance find that they can consume goat milk products without a problem. I think goat milk has a lower content of lactose. It is also closer in its makeup to human milk than any other animal milk, so it's easier for many people to digest. If you've developed an actual allergy to milk, though, I don't know if it would make a difference.
Other alternatives you could try include soy milk, rice milk, hemp milk, or almond milk. I personally prefer soy milk. It does taste different from regular milk, but different doesn't mean bad. It can be used on cereal, for baking, and even in macaroni and cheese. The only thing I don't recommend it for is scrambled eggs. Rice milk is also ok, but it's thinner and I don't like the texture much. I've never tried hemp milk because it's so expensive, but a lot of health food nuts swear by it. And I don't like almond milk because it tastes a little like almonds, which I'm not fond of. I also like soy-milk yogurt. As far as cheese, there are soy-based alternatives, but most of them don't taste very good.

I haven't tried it, but yes it is dairy, but a healthier dairy from what I heard. I suggest if you try it, to try only a little, just in case..

Any milk product is considered dairy, but often people who are allergic to cows' milk can drink goats' milk. Also, sometimes people who are allergic to milk as a drinkable liquid can eat cheese and yogurt. It depends on what part of the milk you have developed sensitivity to. Also, taking a good antihistamine often will help regardless. I find goat cheese, if I remember correctly, to have a stronger flavor, but for me that is good, I do not need to eat as much, then.

I would think that it is made from goats milk and that would be dairy wouldn't it? I know it very healthy. I don't know since you are allegic that there is much you can eat. That is sad because there are so many products that are so delicious. Cottage cheese, yogurt, icecream just to name a few.

Goat's milk is used with some babies that are intolerant of formula and regular milk.. I don't think it is called dairy.. but not sure. My dad always liked goat's milk.. I never tried it nor have I ever tried goat's cheese either.. I ate some goat meat before and that was sickening.

I developed an allergy to cows milk years ago. I've eaten goats cheese and have had no problems with it. I used Rice Milk or Oat Milk and you can get some soya cheeses if you want to avoid dairy.

A few years ago a new milk came out and I think they do a cheese as well. It's called Lacto or something like that.

well, i have tried it many times- both goat and sheep cheese and i like it, because it is more tasty than the common cow milk cheese and as i know it is more healthy. bTW it has also a stronger smell and that's why many people don't like it, but the smell and the taste are really different and when you taste it you see that it is not bad at all. i guess that in many countries the both kinds of cheese are hard to find, but here in my country they are all over the grocery stores

Goat cheese is a dairy, but it's a different type of dairy.

Dont like the taste of goat milk but I love ice cream made out of it.
and I would think it is dairy fod
