Nick's jacket

O'K, just when and how did the inept GC police determine the jacket was Nick's jacket? All they knew was that his jacket wasn't at the cleaners and Mac turned in a jacket a homeless person had. So as usual they jumped to a conclusion; in this case that found jacket must be the lost jacket with no mention of how they determined it to Nick's jacket.

They knew from the label that it was an expensive jacket and they did have the pants that went to the suit. I guess that is how they decided it had to be Nicks jacket or maybe they had a tape that showed Nick wearing the jacket at the benefit.

Wasn't that the dumbest thing! I mean, come on, Sharon.. take it to the next town or bury it or burn it but what a stupid thing to just lay it in a local dumpster and not even make sure to put it on the bottom, but just lay it right there on top..when dumpster diving is so prominent these days! But the soaps play the cops as just a bunch of idiots that either can't solve a crime and a local citizen does, or they make the part sof the crime so stupid that even in soapy world they are just the dumbest thing since spandex. And to have him be killed by a PEN!! Boy are they reaching! But here we go...every person in town will be labeled a suspect and get arrested. First Victoria, now Nik, and next...Victor, Jack, Sharon, Phyliss...maybe not in that order!

Well, they did seem to know exactly what they were looking for...Chance even started putting up posters with the picture of the jacket. I guess we can assume Nick had an unusual or perhaps even specially tailored jacket that couldn't be mistaken for your run of the mill bloody jacket. I was impressed that they went so far as to match up the serial number of the pen. Perhaps the Genoa City PD is actually putting a bit more effort into solving cases these days though they're still doing the usual thing of arresting the wrong people over and over again.

They have the trousers, no doubt it's the same maker, style, size, etc. Still, it's circumstantial evidence...

The jacket was originally found by someone and brought into the bar where Mac works. There was a sign that was posted around town showing where the jacket is. I cannot belive that Sharon threw the jackiet away in the dumpster. That was not a smart move.
