FARMINGTON, Conn. - A 39-year-old driver was pulled over in Farmington this weekend where police said he was doing 5 mph in a 40 mph zone. Police said Isreal Nieves of Bloomfield had the drug PCP in the car and a 9-year-old passenger. He was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, possession of narcotics, risk of injury to a minor, driving at a dangerously slow speed and driving without a license. He was being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and was expected to appear in court on Monday. It could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36671011/ns/us_news/

Did he have the engine on or had he got his feet through the floor like Fred Flintstone?? I bet, if you tried to overtake him he'd speed up

I agree and I agree it was a funny situation after the fact. I am sorry I did not mean to insinuate that you were trivializing.

Yes, of course. I didnt intentionally trivialise the serious irresponsibility of all the other things he was charged with. There are enough incompetent drivers on the road without having people under the influence etc & to have a child in the car in that state is unforgivable.

well, i wouldnt be driving while impaired but i know i would be an overly cautious driver and probably groing 5 mph too. but seriously, its too bad he put the kid at risk like that. hopefully he smartens up!!

lol yes, the vehicle is moving...sort of. I guess going that slow he wouldnt cause as much damage.
