Obamas Opinion on Az immigration law  

I copied and pasted the whole article because when I dont, people say that I am not giving all of the facts. I also supplied a link to where I got the article. I was not plagiarizing. This was a follow up to the discussions regarding the Arizona law.

these are good points coffeegurl, and bottom line, when they cross that border, without following the right channels, they are breaking the law. so you are very right. And as you said, there are legal ways to come here to better your life. Our country was created by immigrants.

yes the first poster had an issue, I hope I cleared it up for her sufficiently. I agree with you Rose that State and Federal need to step up. I really believe that if they enforced the current laws and stopped tying up law enforcement, the problem would not be so bad.

Well, I'm personally torn on the bill. But for the people who live full-time in Arizona and are forced to put up with gang members and drug dealers and mass kidnappings and random shootings and more and more tax dollars spent because of illegals, I'm sure a lot of them are just glad SOMETHING'S being done.

It's easy for Obama to criticize. Like most politicians, he's really great at it. But as far as immigration goes, which is under federal jurisdiction, the feds have done nothing but ignore the problem for what seem to be purely political reasons.

Canada's a little too far for most of us to trek and cross into, but if 20 million of us poured uninvited into Canada, I do wonder what the reaction would be. That's over half of the population.

Danish, I dont believe that you would fall under this law. You are a Canadian Citizen and spend half your time there.

I watched the brave governor sign the bill,had the federal government done their job this bill would not be necessary.
The sheriff spoke just before the bill was signed he said Arizona law enforcement do not profile going on to say that is not how they roll.
This bill gives law enforcement the tools that they need to protect all the citizens of Arizona.
Some people seem much more concerned that illegals has civil rights then the citizens of the United States.
The rancher that was murdered in cold blood on his property last month where was his civil rights.
The rancher and his family had for a very long time pleaded with the federal government for help their pleads fell on deft ear it cost the rancher his life at the hands of an illegal trespassing on his private property.
The Rasmussen report took a poll in Arizona last month 70% of the people polled wanted this bill signed in to law.
People from out of state was bused in today to protest this bill being signed the good people of Arizona won the good fight today.
This bill give law enforcement the tools they need to protect all the citizen in the state of Arizona.
Law enforcement will be working with ice when they do have a illegal issue in the state of Arizona and that is a good thing.
Far as Obama appears he always stands on the side of anti-American,wasn't he the guy that did not give a crap about 68% of the American rights when he signed the democrats unconstitutional health care bill,where the hell was my rights as a American citizen?

There are those who want the USA to go away. What better way than to encourage us to merge with Mexico and Canada. Sort of like the European Union, only The American Union. New laws, throw out the Constitution, it's coming folks. And this is only the beginning. The people are beginning to speak up. My fear it is to late. People like this brave Governor and others who are refusing to be held for ransom by the federal government's liberal socialists...well, perhaps the History books will honor them. But only if we win.

I will fight against this global crap. It upsets me terribly. I hope more Americans realize where this stuff is taking us. one economy, one law, one health care and the list goes on and on. I say start with dumping the United Nations

Alot of us are wondering the same thing. We used to be the land of opportunity. Now that is a joke. Those who immigrated here legally prospered. Now we say tax those who obey the law so those who don't obey the law can live a higher life style and prosper. Does that make sense?

Most people who moved here legally are hacked right off about the illegals and I can understand why. They put forth the time, effort and resources to g about it correctly. Then you get somebody that just jumps the border.

There are more states that are telling him 'who cares about you....' than most people know. I read last fall that 13 or was it 16 states had said ENOUGH to Wash. DC. by way of house resolutions and sovereignty bills.

Hofferp, yes she signed it and Obama thinks it is a call to action to counter it. Debra, I agree that states are standing up. Unfortunately, I think any immigration issues, the Feds will prevail. It is a matter of national security and I agree that the administration was sleeping on the job on this one.

patms1....I wouldn't be surprised if more didn't. You know, I've been hearing about how those who are asking for his legal birth certificate were looneys and conspiracy nuts....guess a whole state must be nuts huh????? lol I'm tired of hearing that conservatives are either racists, nazis or nuts. I'm sure glad now that a whole state is subject to the insults being hurled at those of us who think for themselves.

I do believe that more states are adding this for the next presidential election.

What makes me wonder is if Hillary thought that she could prove he was not born in America she would have spent millions to prove it. Why did she stop looking? I wonder what she was promised or what she was threatened with. What scares me is by the time the next election is here America will be in the mist of a civil war. If he shoves a bill making illegals legal down our throats like he did with the health bill Americans are not going to appreciate being taken over by people that not only don't speak the language but hate us. I hope America wakes up before the demoncrats(spelling on purpose) destroy us.

I think there were alot of favors called in and alot of dirt on people brought to the surface. It is amazing that they think it is none of our business.
