Both men and women acquire jewelry as gifts. Some jewelry we even buy for ourselves if the mood strikes us and the price is right. What is the first piece of jewelry you ever received? Do you sill have it? Do you still wear it?

My first ever piece of jewelry was a tiny silver bracelet when I was a baby. I still have it and my mother then bought small bracelts for my daughters too. They are so small and cute that I never let my girls wear them. They are just a keepsake for they get older.

Hi sender, in my family, grand parents tend to give gift to a new born baby. The gift is usually presented to the young during the celebration on the 30th day. The first gift from the grandma usually is a gold anklet or bangle wearing on the ankle. Boiled eggs as well as ginger pickles are the must to entertain in the celebration as well. No exception, my first jewelry gift is also a gold anklet with a pair of lovely small bells hanging on it. My mom told me that the bells will make or emit a high and sweet tinkling sound when I was a toddler. therefore they could track me easily from the tinkle of the bells. I think this is the main reason why a new born baby always receives anklet as the first gift Happy posting

Hello sender. I have never received a piece of jewelry, but I bought one for myself when I was in my early twenties. It was popular back to then for young people to wear a silver ring. So my first one was the silver ring. Later when I got married, I bought both my mother and mother-in-law a silver bracelet respectively with the same style. They love it and still keep it for many years.

hi sender621 no I sure wish I did as it would be worth a lot of money now,it was a Black HIlls gold ring and necklace and I sold it years back when my husband was out of work and we needed cash. Now it is worth a whole lot more so wish I had never sold it.

Hey sender! Do you mean the first piece of jewelry that we ever received like when we were kids? The first piece of jewelry that I remember getting from my parents was an initial ring and I still have it! I had it put on my Grandmothers Charm Bracelet when my Grandfather gave it to me after she passed away. The my parents bought me a bracelet with my name on it! I still have that too, but haven't worn it for years~
