Ribatto, robotto, rebato -- Can't remember the word!!!   

Hey mylotters,
I'm having trouble with this word - I looked for it everywhere!
The identical sound I have heard about that word is ra-bat-oh...
I've heard it used when someone was explaining methods with my
sales pitch when I was a former sales person before to help me
catch the customer's attention besides the pitch I'm using. Then I've
seen that word in a book somewhere that involved rap battles and
such, one of the commentary was "... hard hitting ribato" the spelling
is definitely incorrect since I try to google it but could not find
the word! I did not look up the word on that time I seen it on that
chapter since it slipped my mind. Would you kindly help me?!
