What should I get my son for his 16th birthday?

I am on a limited budget since I am a single mom of 2. He is only just getting his drivers permit. He has playstation 2 and wii. I was thinking of a skateboard and clothes...but what do you suggest?

What type of activities is your son interested in? At 16 I have always liked the paper gift.
