charcoal is said to have many uses, not only for heating and cooking food but as well as aiding in the therapy from relieving pains and aches, destroys or stops the growth of bacteria, prevents or relieves nausea and vomiting, relieves inflammations, rheumatism to cleansing boils and infections and even stimulates digestion and improves appetite. charcoal's major role in the healing process is merely to absorb the toxins, viruses, germs and bacteria...so far, i have only used charcoal as a cleansing drink..mixing 1 tbsp charcoal powder with 1 glass of water, 1 hour before mealtime, 3x daily..a friend of a friend advised me to take this up when i was in constant discomfort due to a urinary tract infection.. i was not able to continue drinking the medicine prescribed to me by my doctor because it caused me stomach pains..after a week, the discomfort disappeared..how about you, have you experienced charcoal therapy?

This is a very interesting read. Thank you for this information. I have to admit that this is the first time I've heard of this. I guess I'll spread this around as it really would give so much benefits to my family and friends. Thanks again!

i suppose it is true..there have been many books written about it, backup by many documented studies of medical researchers and from actual experiences of public health workers who really used charcoal to heal wounds, infections, etc. of their patients, when there are no other medicines available.. as of present, i have read that charcoal are already made into capsules... but fresh powdered charcoal has been proven more effective than the commercialized ones... charcoal therapy actually dates back in the 1800..

No. I've heard a few people talk about the benefits of it, but i'm still very skeptical. I wouldn't eat charcoal unless I had to.

actually, i was skeptical too at first. i thought i'd be drinking from a glass of water filled with a chunk of fresh-from-the-embers charcoal, heheh..actually, the charcoal they made me drink was finely powdered, you can hardly feel it with your tongue..you'd only realized you're drinking from a charcoal-water cleansing because of the taste of the residue found at the bottom of the glass..anyway, some of the therapy that charcoal is used for are actually topically applied..

Wow! This is news to me. The only uses of charcoal that I knew of were in cooking and drawing. I had no clue that it had medical properties too. I am going to research this some more. This is really interesting to hear. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! :)

i never heard about scientific explanation about charcoal, i guess, i will rather want to choose herbal than charcoal as i know herbals are natural when it comes to healing power and most medicine comes from herbals. anyway, most women specially pregnant women are prone to uti so water therapy is the best for this, better drink more than 8 glasses of water everyday and frequently urination for cleansing. whoever doctor you talk with 100% of them will advise their patient to drink a lot of water.
