What is the first television programme you remember watching?  

Oh dear, imagine David Hasselhoff as your only TV memories!!

David Hasselhoff was on Baywatch? There were guys on Baywatch? I must of been around 4 while watching it but I don't remember him! :)

I think it was Rag, Tag and Bobtail which was later replaced by Tales of the Riverbank

Hi Wizzywig, yeh rag tag and bob tail I hated tales of the riverbank which may be why I couldn't remember Thursdays.

That was my least favourite too.

Ahh childhood I literally watched with mother while she washed our lunch dishes.

I actually bought a video for one of my dayghters ( she's 21 now) around 20 years ago that had all the old Watch with Mother's on in the black and white.
She wasn't that keen but I loved it!!!!!

Mum and Dad bought our TV so they could watch the coronation in 1953. Do you remember changing the channel and tuning it in? Our kids would not have the patience now (my son is 33 now).

Back in the days when you had to get up off your bum and walk across to the set to change the channel/alter the brightness/volume etc etc

Yeh like that no remotes good picture every time!!!!!

And just to remind me that I'm not the only one who is past this site's "sell by date" my husband is muttering no video, no DVD, no iplayer, no sky. I wonder what the next 40 years will bring?
