i want a talking bird as pet..suggest me few!!!  

hi, a parrot can speak if u teach him with patience.It is a fast learner .what ever u teach it will learn .I think it doesnt know the meaning but if u teach it in a proper guidance then it will speak all the words u teach him.

there are a lot of birds that will talk. for example parrots, budgies and crows, they all need LOTS of care and space though. and training them to speak takes time.

Hi vishkris!!! The most vocal, talkative bird that I can think of is a Macaw. Macaw's are very, very special birds. They are super sensitive. And, believe me when I tell you that, if they get upset or worried about something, they will begin to pluck all their feathers out!! This is because of their stress levels.

But, please keep in mind, my friend, no matter what decision you make, it is a LIFETIME commitment. It sounds like you are pretty excited about this. But, you must always, ALWAYS, first consider questions about the situation!!

Examples: Are you in an apartment or a house? When birds get vocal and talkative, they can get very, very LOUD!! You must be considerate of those around you. If you are in an apartment, you may have to re-think this one.

Are you absolutely sure that you are ready? Can you truly afford the upkeep and maintenance of a bird??? They require DAILY, HOURLY attention and routine is important to them. They also require very large cages for them and their food!!! Plus, the maintenance, i.e., shots, general health and things of that nature.

I guess, basically, what I am trying so gently to say to you is this:

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be very sure that you are ready and prepared to bring one of these beautiful creatures home to you!! I plead with you, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND YOUR RESEARCH before you get one of these beautiful animals.

PLEASE...also try NOT TO BUY ONE FROM A PET STORE. These are usually pretty bad experiences for the birds and their stress level has already increased significantly from being there. If you can and are able, try to get one from your local shelter or rescue. You can find all this information right there in front of you, at your fingertips....on your computer!!!!

Google is a wonderful place to start such a search.

well a parrot, you want to be a pirate hehehe.

The only bird that talk is parrot. I do not know any other bird that can mimic the voice of humans.

I recently went to a flea market and saw an incredible little bird called a black-headed caique (pronounced kai eek). The owner had him doing amazing tricks like playing dead and saying his prayers. I don't remember what kind of vocalization he had, but the bird was such a character and so beautiful, it's worth looking at. Good luck with your search for the perfect pet. Oh, this critter lives for 35 years or so, so you need to be committed to giving a lot of attention for a long time.

It's my understanding that the African Grey is the most gifted of the talking birds; but don't take my word for it, do the research.
