Do any of you still enjoy old black and white movies? If so which?

I have to admit that my favourite film ever, and one that I watch over and over, is the 1940 Hitchcock adaption of the book Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
I have watched a more modern version of the film and was disappointed - it did not have the same atmosphere that Hitchcock's masterpiece evoked.
This film was just perfect at catching the gothic feel of the novel and naturally, he is the master of suspense, Hitchcock filled the film with suspense from the very beginning.
Do you enjoy any black and white films in this way, if so which?

I love the hitchcock version of Rebecca, it was very well done. There was a TV adaptation with Jeremy Brett which I started watching but it didn't work very well - the Mrs Danvers was totally miscast and that ruined it.
When I was little we had a black and white tv and I thought all films were black and white until we got a colour one!

I must admit that I do like some old movies which are black and white but I rarely have the names in my mind, I might come in front of the television and flash to movies in day time where sometimes they play old black and white movies so I might sit and watch the whole movie if it is interesting to me.

Sometimes the older movies are the better choice. There are so many of them that i like to watch. Whatever Hpaapened to Baby Jane with Bette Davis would be my first pick. After that any of Alfred Hitcgcock's films are great views.
