I dont like elections! Candidates who are running for a position is good only before the election but they already forget about their responsibilities in taking out the posters they have pasted on walls and posters nailed on trees. I hate to think that they dont mind taking all those trash. I dont know if there's ever a candidate who had the initiative to hire someone to take out their posters. I think they should focus on this too and not just about winning. I think it will make them a winner if they would also be responsible enough to do these things. What do you think? Did you ever have it in your mind too that candidates should also be responsible for taking away their posters?

Ahhh. I have not seen any candidate who hires people to take down their posters after the election. I think before, it was the MMDA who did the hard task of cleaning up the walls and the meralco posts and the trees. I sure hope there would come a time where all the candidates would help in the clean up of their provinces after the elections.

You're correct. I saw a picture on the paper today, where Mayor Lim is helping his people in cleaning out the campaign posters and taking them out of the walls. I sure hope that all candidates are just like him.

I dont think that responsibility should be under the hands of the MMDA. I think the candidates should be responsible enough to take them out themselves. There are volunteers who would take them out but they should not rely on them.

Good thing that in my place there is less posters that was used so my place is really that clean. I am saddened in some places where the candidates literally made the place uglier than it was before. I just hope that candidates themselves would voluntarily clean up their mess after the elections. Most of the losing candidates will probably hide from their mansions and never do a thing to clean their mess.

That is supposed to be the ideal thing to happen but I doubt if some of them would make initiative to clean their mess up. Most probably it would be the MMDA that would do this for Metro Manila.

That's what candidates are doing to our place. There are posters everywhere and what's worst is that they nail them to trees when in fact they should have known that that is against the law. I think the candidates who lose should do more about cleaning up their mess so people would see that they are true to what they are saying. Maybe next time they run, they are gonna win already cause people already have it in their minds that that person is good not only at the beginning but till the end.

They are everywhere! Of course, before election you can see them anywhere pasted on walls, nailed to trees and hung in every post. But candidates dont have the initiative to take them out. It has been a day since the election and there are still a lot of things posters around. I dont expect that it will be taken out by them. Other people do it and they do it for free. Its a community service.

it is in our election code that candidates should remove their own poster and other campaign materials but the problems is comelec is too busy to monitor this...

Good if its in the election code but is it really needed that the comelec should monitor it? I mean, cant candidates be responsible enough? I think that with or without supervision they should be responsible enough to take them out. Its not right leaving all those things hanging in there and contributing to the garbage you can see around.

I wish they will. I mean, they are only good when they are still campaigning. They see themselves anywhere because of the posters but they still dont have the initiative to take it out. They just wait for the rain to wash it out. Good thing there are good people who would volunteer to take them out. I hope it was the candidates who would do it.

Of course they should be responsible for their posters, leaflets, etc. But I think the one who initiate the clean up is the winner, which is wrong. They have the money to hire people to put their posters so they should also have the budget to remove them. There should be a law that will punish those that will not clean their trash after a certain period of time after the election.

Good if the winner has to initiate it. In our place, neither the winner nor the loser would have the initiative to clean up their mess. I hope they also have that in mind to have a budget for the removal of those posters rather than just hire someone to post it there are live it be after the election. I think there should be a law for this one.

oh that would be a first, a politician who does not want more money to take their trash down lol. Well yes I am with you on that one. They love to talk all that junk about what they will do but none takes care of the damage made during their campaigns .

They are literally making the Philippines dirty. I wonder why they dont have these programs that will help clean up their mess. Its their mess so they should try and clean it. This is also one reason why I dont like politicians cause they are not true to their words. They cant even do something as simple as cleaning up their mess so I dont expect them to do something bigger than that.
