dear mylotters, computers have been made for a better more convenient life. it helps enhance the knowledge of society and even gives hope to people with learning disabilities. it is used for many purposes. it is easier to pay a bill or order products on-line, also good for entertainment, research, communication, and many others.

but why is it that it seems people are busier than ever?

Perhaps we are all busy learning this technology. The problem is that technology is changing so fast these days that we have to be constantly learning things in order to keep up. Maybe it is time for us all to step back and look at the real world of nature and enjoy some time with that instead of trying to "advance" rapidly!

Hi ann dear Computer with internet is a blessing to the modern society, it has become part of our life, the use is becoming more and more , production of pcs and laptops have multipled several fold and cost is going down each day, internet charge is also decreasing, but some use it in wrong way too.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always.

dear professor, i knew the answer is in the positive. computers do make life easier. it makes people do a lot of things quicker and faster than they did before. hence, more work done in shorter time. unlike before when things are done manually, takes a lot of hours and manpower just to get to the result expected.

Sure computer is a boon to the modern society in all the aspects, but the percentage that possess computers are very less, the reasons being, poverty, lack of knowledge, but the day will come, when all the houses will have computers like how they have televisions now.

hi samson, what you said is true about households acquiring computers being less. but that doesn't mean that those with computers have lesser work.

i think they got more. it may not be physical but more using the brains. you can say no if you think what i said is not true.

hi mike, computers are widely used and more likely, many would feel cut out of this world without it. addictiveness.. yeah! and people get entertained. this is a very modern type of relaxing and spending leisure time.

people are used to the advantages brought from a so-called wonder of science. although there are some disadvantages of using computers people have not counted, computer obviously becomes a friend of every body.
