Waiting for a new life to come into the World.  |

|  I thought I would just tell everyone that I am sitting here writing very very anxiously waiting for a phone call to tell me that my daughter wants us to pick her and her partner up to take them to hospital to be induced so her son can be born.
She is over due. This is made worse because her first child, my dear Grand daughter aged 3 was born 10 weeks premeture and we went through a stage where we thought that we would not only loose our baby Grand daughter but our daughter as well. They had a bad time but now 3 years on both okay and you would never guess she was only 3lb when born. This is why I am so worried about my daughter. Although I do know that any mum worries when her children are going to be parents themselves.
When I was expecting my eldest my Mum wrote a wonderful letter saying what she was thinking while waiting for me to give birth. I didnt read this until my Mum passed away and it was in her bits and pieces. I know when I read it I smiled and said to myself oh you are daft Mum. Now, I am doing exactly the same thing!
So please wish us all the luck in the world and pray all is well with both and yes selfishly that I meet my Grandson today - my first Grandson. x

You did not mention anything about how your husband felt. I'm sure he must have been anxious and worried as you are. I've not come close enough to this but being a father myself I can relate to all these. A dad's prayers for his children would sound no different from mom's anywhere in this world.
I wish all of you all the luck in the world. I pray both your daughter and grandson are safe and sound and healthy. Congrats to your daughter on having a son and for you on having your first grandson!

I agree with you about Dads and as with most daughters mine is a Daddys girl! He is being strong, or should I say he will not show how worried he is until it is all over and our Grandson is here. | | | |

My Grandson has arrived. Both Mum and baby are very well. I still cannot believe that he was born at 2.10am this morning and by 3.30pm both Mum and baby were home! My Daughter usually weighs 8 stone 0 english size 8 - 10 petite and my Grandson called Jack weighed 8lb 15oz a big baby but oh so handsome and got hair! | | | |
