You know there are states that are "helping" homeowners pay their mortgages to stop the foreclourse problem.
So lets see...I don't have to work to get healthcare...I don't have to work to get my mortgage paid...I can sit my butt and get all kinds of social programs to pay for what I need...so what is our incentive to work again? Oh ya...to pay higher taxes to pay for all those that aren't.

We all have free healthcare from GPs/hospitals available to us irrespective of whether we can (or will) work. It's very good that those who are most vulnerable - those who CANNOT work - can be cared for without financial pressure. However, it does mean that people who WON'T work, get the same level of care. I am very glad that we have this system because, I probably wouldn't be able to get health insurance at a price I could afford. I dont mind so much that I'm paying my taxes to help other sick people. Over the course of my life, I expect I'll get my money's worth. What I dont like is people being paid to stay home and do nothing having a higher disposable income than I work hard for. (I'm not talking about the thousands who are unable to work or to find work - any of us could find ourselves in that situation. I mean people who WON'T work to support themselves and their families)
Of course, our system is very different from yours.

How to live the life of Riley:
Do not get married, stay single and have kids, if you have a job do it poorly and get fired. Then you get everything - Health-care (Medicaid, Food Stamps, Monthly Government Check to pay all your bill, free day care. I know this for a fact. A very clever family member of mine knows exactly how to milk the system for every penny available. Her only complaint....she gets bored!! She has had all these benefits for 6 years, is able to afford a new car and lives a life of leisure...GRRR!
