What do you think- a Cat or Dog is better as a pet....? |
| |
| Cats and Dogs have their own unique habits..... Its better to have a Dog if we want a long walk and to play with.... Cats are good pets if you want a pet that is easy to care for...... Anyway my question is "Do cats or Dogs make better pets" What do you think...........? | | | | | |

| | This is a hard one to answer i suppose it depends on how much time you have on your hands. Personally i would love a dog they are such fun and i would love to be able to have the time to go for long walks alas this will not happen for a few years. On the other hand cats dont appear to need as much maintenance unless they are a show cat. I would like both although work commitments make it impossible for me and it wouldnt be fair on the animal. xx | | | | | | |

| | I love dogs because they can fetch and play with you while most cats just sleep and poop. | | | | | | |

| | Hello siyd and welcome to myLot. As for which animal to have for a pet depends on your personality and where you live, apartment or house with a yard. Dogs want your attention all the time pretty much like little kids. Cats on the other hand are more independent. They can entertain them selves much better than a dog. You can leave a cat for a couple of days and not have to worry about them pooing on the floor. You can leave enough food for a couple of days and it will least. Dogs on the other hand can't be left because they need to go out side to poo or they will poo on the floor. dogs can and sometime do chew up a lot of shoes and other things. Some cats will scratch the furniture. For me cats have more personality. I would rather have a cat than a dog. | | | | | | |

| | Thanks friend.... I am of your same opinion... What you said is right- cats entertain themselves unlike dogs... Scratching furniture and seat covers of my bike are the problems made by them.... But we can avoid that by just scolding or patting them just as we do on kids.... | | | |

| | I agree with you, it depends what you want from a pet. If you are in the house a lot and want an affectionate pet who you know is there all the time, a dog is better. If you are out a lot and want a more independent pet, a cat is a better choice. I have a dog and a cat, but I do prefer the dog, as she is more cuddly. | | | | | | |
