Do you watch movie to relax or learn?  

i just watch them to relax, i never thought about watching them to learn i guess at school would have counted. my favourite genre is horror or romantic

you can not learn much from the movies you are not required to but you can watch them for enjoyment

Normally I watch them to just unwind, relax and be entertained. Sometimes, I just don't have the energy to mentally engage myslef with a film and be forced to think. However, I do appreciate watching a meaningful film that leaves me with plenty of food for thought after the credits roll

Both. I watched movies to be entertained. I watched it also for relaxing when stress is too much. I also watched movies so that we can learned something from it. A lot of movies has a lot of lesson in life. Movies is just like life, it teaches us a lot of lesson. There are also movies that the sole purpose is to educate and inform the viewing public, such movies is the documentary. I love watching documentaries since this is not fictional and it can give you a lot of information and thus educating you in the process.

i love movies and i don't know why, and i like almost all kinds of genres of movies. but my favourate movies are detective or crime movies, because our society is so cruel and i think the crime or detective movies can reflect it. and i watch these movies is not only to relax, but also to face the reality and know more about the society.

Well, many times i watch it for relaxing and for my good time-pass, along with a good lesson which you get from many movies. So its just a combination of everything. That depends upon the person to person that for what purpose you do that, but in fact that person will do everything together.

I love to watch movies. To me movies are a form of relaxation. It also helps us learn and understand and is a way of growing up.

The most important function of a movie is to entertain. But movies also helps us to understand society and often teaches us things about history. We can understand how the past was like. I mean, I was born in late 1980's. So when I watch a movie of the 70s I know what that time was like. How people dressed, talked, how much things have changed etc.

Movies are also a form of art and you get to appreciate and watch the creativity and imagination of a lot of persons. It is like a book. It broadens your mind, knowledge and outlook. It also helps in globalization. Movies play a lot of roles.

But to answer the question is one line... I watch movies for entertainment. They help me to relax and enjoy my time.

I usually watch a movie to relax. It's something that I do to relax. If I can learn a thing or two from what I'm watching, then that's a bonus for me. Watching a movie is something that I enjoy doing.

Actually both but depends on a movie but usually if the movie is really interesting and yet popular I am going to watch it. I am having fun if I really like the action of the stars and how the story goes.

for me i do both, while i was watching a movie, i am relaxing and sometimes, i learned something from that movie which might be applicable to real life.
