Even if you don't read the Bible, is there one scripture you know, for one reason or another? "For God so loved the world . . . " is probably the best known but there's another one well quoted. Perhaps you didn't know it came from the Bible. Think wedding. Do you know it?

I think the 23rd psalm is a great one. And the one about there being a right season under heaven. Those are good ones. About all I can think of.

Nice! I love the 23rd Psalm. It is well known, isn't it? And you've read Ecclesiastes then? . . . You ROCK!! But then, you knew that already.
Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

i think the most well-known scripture is " the lord is my sheperd. I shall not want" from psalm 23. I think every christian knows that. what do you think??

Hi there!
Aside from the scriptures mentioned on this discussion, "For God so loved the world..." and " Love is patient, love is kind..." one other scripture that pops in my head is the scripture that says " Then God said, let there be light and there was light". I'm not sure of the exact verses but it's definitely found in the book of Genesis.
