I guess that owning them and taking care of them is a good start. At least he doesn't dislike being around pets, he's just not so social with them.

As long as he doesn't get annoyed with you being more social with your pets and spending time with them it shouldn't be a problem. We're all different, some of us are better with children, some are better with animals, some are lucky enough to be good with both. Tolerance of each others ways is the key I think..

I think that would mean we were too different to be true loves.

animals are a really important part of my life, and I can't imagine being able to love someone who didn't love animals. I can't help thinking there is something wrong with people who don't love and enjoy animals.

I would rather not have a relationship with someone who is an animal lover.I believe men who likes and loves animals make great lover.having a pet is no joke.it is a big responsibility and a test of patience and resilience.I would rather break up with a partner who doesn't like animals.I would like to have lots of pets,and I will choose my pet over a guy who doesn't like animals.

every one is diffrent in how they care for their animals.You could try to get him to play with his animals more or at least play with yours by starting small.Like watching a movie with your animals on your lap.

I have many pets and they are very important to me. It would be a problem for me if my lover didn't like pets, because I couldn't imagine living a life without pets. I guess my reaction would depend on his on his opinion about pets in the house. If he says "I don't like pets and you have to take of all of them on your own if you want pets" I could probably accept that and I would take care of them alone, but if he said: "I hate pets and I don't want any pets in the house" I would leave him, because I wouldn't be able to accept that.
