|  Recently I heard about taking organic coconut oil to help lose weight. Supposedly its suppose to coat the inside of your stomach and intestines so that fatty foods and your waste keep moving and not settle so you can eliminate more waste. I'm not sure if its true or not, but one man I know who is doing this diet has gone down a pants size in a month and that's without changing his diet or exercising.
So, what do you think? Is it worth a try?

| |  Interesting.
For a while I have been very interested in various forms of coconut oil.
When coconut oil is heated (cooked) it seems to become unhealthy type of oil.
It seems the important thing is to ingest fresh coconut meat or cold-processed coconut oil.
I hope that is accurate :)

| | Perhaps we should really all benefit from the technicality of ingesting coconut oil. There is one more subtle point it seems.
The experts insist that the way any plant oil is processed determines if it is healthy to consume. They say that "virgin oil" is that which was not cooked (in hot temperature) and is healthy. I think they call this a "cold-process oil" (cool mild fermentation followed by separation (oil from water))
On the other hand, there is oil extracted using heat. In countries where coconut oil is abundant and always used in kitchens (many parts of Malaysia and Philippines), there is a high-rate of heart disease caused by heated oil. I think they call these "transfatty oil"

| |  maybe the one you are talking about is the virgin coconut oil. people here in our place tbsp a day or take a capsule of that. i've tried it before and it helped me lose weight but after a bottle, i didn't continue it cause i didn't like the feeling of drinking oil..
