I don't have to shovel the poop that early in the morning, but I usually get up to "mouse" poop from my mini Dachshunds. I have a pen for them to stay in at night so that I don't have piddle and poop on the carpet. I will say that I have had to clean up big piles first thing in the morning when Abby poops in the work room. I don't do well with cleaning up dog poop....I gag big time! Isn't it nice having your peace back? I am torn about Abby. She's a pit/lab mix that has been living with me for nearly two years while my adoptive sister is trying to straighten out her marriage. (It is heading towards divorce) It is costing me a lot to feed a big dog. Abby eats three to one in comparison to the mini's. So a forty pound bag of dog food lasts me about a month. But, I do have to say she is a God send when it comes to protection. None of my neighbors are brave enough to come in the house. When I was going through the law suit with the crazy lady up the street I felt safe because they wouldn't come in the house with Abby here. I do have to add that it is a bit easier for me to dispose of the poop. Since I live way out in the country all I have to do is pick it up on the shovel and fling it over the back fence. It also helps keep the deer away. I have a question for you. I am going to list a four piece set of 1960's patio furniture on zzstar. It's in super condition with little rust spots here and there but nothing major. The set consists of a love seat, two arm type chairs and a coffee table. It's made of really heavy steel. Is $350 too much to ask for the set?

These were both labs so they made quite a mess in my yard. My son would have eventually got around to cleaning up i guess but i want everything done yesterday so they tell me. I didn't want that mess in my yard another minute. They should have kept the pen cleaner than what they did to start with. I'm just glad they are gone & believe me when i say they want be back, lol. Your price sounds reasonable to me. I have no idea how things are selling because i haven't fooled w.anything since i had the stroke 5 years ago in june. Good luck w/it.

I know it really is fun cleaning up doggie poop.......NOT! I cleaned up our puppy poop last night. Did you use a scooper or just a plastic bag? I use a plastic bag turned inside out then turn it right side out to close the bag up.

Every morning it's either my husband, my son or I who would clean the poop of our two dogs which are normally assigned at the front gate. Whoever sees first will certainly do the job. I hate the smell and the sight but what can I do. Those dogs are faithful watch dog anyway and we could not do away with them. Cleaning the pooh is just the most hated part of keeping dogs at home. They also do bark at anyone who comes close to our gate whether a friend or stranger or be it day or night. Sometimes I hate them for being so loud and scandalous and would wish they are not around but when I consider how faithfully they've served us I feel quite ashamed of my short patience. There were some times we've negligently leave either the front or back door open all day while we were all out for work and these dogs were the ones who vigilantly watched the open door so that nobody could intrude.

Good morning, dear Lady! Nope...sure would NOT like to have to prefer a dawn raid on my back yard excavating the "doggie dodo"...for some odd reason, it is ONE smell that activates my "gag" reflex! WHY...I don't know, excrement from Cats and Dogs (my favourite animals) just turn my stomach...yet the Chickens, Ducks and Horse manure never bothered me! I know you couldn't wait...but I sure wished that dear son of your's would have done that nasty job...you are such a trooper! You will probably find it strange..being so quiet around your house now! "Brui" is far too funny when doing his business...he backs up into the Salal..(a native bush that grows wild all around the perimeters), so you never encounter his "calling cards".....BUT when I take care of "Cello"..Debbie's Dog...I find myself not used to watching for it, and step in it ~~~~far too often! ENJOY the peace & quiet...LOVE & HUGZ!

We had a gosh awful storm yesterday so i'm really glad i got it done when i did. Hope u have a great day. Don't overdo!!!!!!!!! thanks for responding.

Hi Jo!! Yucky! What a stinky day!! Thank God my hubby does that. Our two German Shepherd dogs do their business where ever they see fit because they're still young. I'm hoping soon that their instincts will kick in and they'll take their 'business' elsewhere like most adult dogs do. Playing tic tac toe around the yard is no fun! But once it'd done, it's done..... that is, if the dogs don't live with you! [em]rolleyes HUGS TO YOU DEAR FRIEND! [/em]

Hi Jo I've been kind of reclusive lately, not meaning to be but I have. Been really busy with a number of things since spring and sprung. lol Hubby and I finished cleaning out the woods out back of our house and extended the fence to the dry creek bed which isn't the extent of our property but some day, we'll get that part cleaned out too and extend the fence that much further. In due time that is. No rush on it. And I've been cross stitching dad's project that I talked about. It's coming along right well. I still have to get the last one I finished framed. Again, in due time. lol I do have some GOOD news though! Talking about knocking me over with a feather!! lol My parents were having monetary trouble again because of property taxes and their refinancing their loan for the house that they're renting out. Well, I was NOT going to go to my brothers this time and instead just give them what they needed myself but hubby was hot to trot and was adamant that we weren't going to do a damned thing and wait it out to see if my brothers decide to pitch in. He called them both and of course, they wouldn't answer their phones so he left them a message. My middle brother sent him a text saying he sends them $200. a month every month and can't afford to give any more than that. Oh hubby was MAD then!! He ranted to me about him being legally blind then how the hell can he see to text him bla bla bla which I had no answer for so I told him I don't know. He called my brother back and left him a message telling him we give that much and more every month too not to mention all the things we've bought them such as the golf cart and clothes among a lot of other things and this time we can not help for it's up to them this time. Well, mom won't tell me anything. She's into this secrecy crap with I HATE with a passion! It's hurting this family but she doesn't see it that way but is afraid of it being a competition sort of thing which is so stupid! Geeze. Well yesterday I found out from dad that my oldest brother sent them $500. and my middle brother sent $300.!! I about fell out of my chair!! LOL NOW they have enough to pay their property taxes and we didn't have to help one cent!! FINALLY!! So maybe they're coming around. I don't know but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath, that's for sure but I'm so ecstatic about them FINALLY helping a bit!! Hugs to you!!

Thank God I have never had to do that. When we lived on the farm we had about 9 or ten dogs but only one of them was allowed in the house. The rest were outside and set free. They were good guard dogs though. But I didn't clean up any mess after them. I had a garden that was unfenced as it was on the edge of the far, so I expect that they had their own favourite places to do their business Thanks for your email. Am ok. Problems not yet finished. The overseas news report about 60 killed but our force says 25. Unbelievable. They have not caught him - he could be off the Island. Maybe somewhere where the US doesn't have an extradition treaty with. Who knows? Blessings.

No but it has felt like shoveling poop sometimes. Your son should have helped you out with that. Don't children take us for granted all the time?

I don't think i have ever disagreed w/u jen but i am now. My son should have done it instead of helping me clean up after HIS DOGS, GRRRRRRR.yES, YOUR CHILDREN DO TAKE ADVantage of u & i'm a little tired of it to tell u the truth. He didn't even say thanks mom for letting them stay here for 6 months. My children were raised to have manners but think they've lost them . thanks for your response.

No, I sure didn't, lol. Bless your heart! I'm just glad my dog is housebroken and she only does that outside. She barks quite a bit but not as much as some dogs, I don't think. I used to have an Alaskan Malamute that hardly ever barked. You would probably prefer that kind, I bet. I've had to do worse than you, though. I've had to clean stalls and pick up horse stuff, lol. I don't mind it that much.

Goood morning Kathy, i don't envy u your job w/the horses either, lol.My dog is trained to go outside to. THESE were 2 big labs that would destroy the inside of a house, they are wilder than a deer & about as big. I haven't missed that barking at all, lol. Thanks for responding.
