Coffee drinkers: at what age did you start drinking coffee?  

Ooops, Had to come back to the front and answer the question. I didn't drink coffee until I was an adult. I remember my Grandmother made a water and milk mixture so I thought I was drinking tea with the adults. I agree with children not drinking coffee and I have a couple of health reasons. Coffee has caffeine and acid. I realize that cola sodas also have caffeine. I think children should be restricted on caffeine also.

I didn't start drinking coffee until I was in my twenties, and my kids came down with chicken pox. After six weeks of sick kids, I was exhausted! Coffee was just enough of a boost to get me through the day.

hi,my parents had a habit of drinking coffee in the morning and Tea in the evening.I had a sweet memories still of when my mom asked to seve coffee/Tea in a up to my father from kitchen....i used to have a sip from that out of curiousity...
But my mom offerto drink coffee when i was [completed 10+2 studies]@17 years age...

I started drinking coffee very young.. :) Around 7 years old. But not everyday.. Once in a while but mostly milk.. :) Or chocolate drinks.. But when I was around 18 I started drinking tons.. Yeah, I knows its not healthy but.. I prefer coffee than tea or milk. LOL

I just started drinking coffee last year since my uncle advise me to drink coffee before working out. I frequently go to the gym to work out and coffee serves as an energy drink.

My mom says when I was like two I would get on the table and drink any coffee left in the bottom of the cups! Then my daddy and I used to have coffee together on the weekend nights while we stayed up and watched movies all night. I guess that started when I was about 10 or so!

My kids started drinking coffee as early as they wanted too. And my nephew used to drink what was left in my cup when he was about 18 months old. I'd turn around and my coffee would be gone!

I think I started when I was 12 or 13..I was just so curious as to how it tastes..and I really liked it..I even mixed in my KoKo crunch..But I don't really drink coffee on a regular basis..and i don't think children should be allowed to drink coffee...

i saw one discussion earlier i responded which asked what was the first discussion that i made. i cannot recall what was that discussion of mine that i created first after joining mylot. and that was only two to three years ago. so this could be more difficult for me to recall at what age i start drinking coffee. but i am sure, my parents never let kids at younger age to drink coffee.

I totally forgot when did i started drinking coffee i guess i am 12 years old then but i'm not taking it everyday, maybe once a week. I will allow them when they aged 18.

I started when I was in my 20's, but my first three children did try it at a young age, probably around your children's age. And they would drink it occasionally throughout their teen years..They say drinking coffee while still growing will stunt your growth, but my son is over 6 feet and my one daughter is an inch or two taller than I am..The other daughter,however is 3 inches shorter than myself..

So whether this is true or not I don't know, maybe all my children would have been taller, like my 6 foot son would have an extra inch or two if he didn't drink it..

I think as long as they don't get addicted, drinking it every day and getting withdraws when they don't get it, they should be ok..
