Do you believe in entering your kids in contest  

For me I would never do that to one of my children. I think it puts them at a big risk for perverts and stalkers. That's just my opinion though.

I do believe.
You have to try every opportunity for your kids.
When you do that let me know if I can vote.

I don't know with kids as young as that, if you feel it is safe to do so then yes you should... I probably would to be honest... it would make me feel proud, but there are some wierd people around these days so i would feel a little concerned also.... for my older child though I would give him the choice and take it from there... I guess it is all dependant on what the competition was and involved

I don't believe in entering my kids into contests, but that's just my own opinion. My concerns are that when my child gets older and doesn't win, it will make her feel differently about herself. I think both of my daughter's are very beautiful, and they don't need any pagent or contest to tell me differently.

Now for you, if you want to, don't let nothing stop you. As a mom, you know what to look out for. We moms are like bears, we will attack and kill anything that will try to hurt our kids. So, go and do it. Never know, your child could win money for college.

LillyBelleDaisyRose after having watched several series about kids in beauty contests on television if I was young and had a child I would keep her the heck away from the world of the pushy moms and tired little girls who go on and on and on with these contests. they paint their kids
up to look like whor&s and parade them around, the kids get tired and the stage moms wanting the reflected glory of kids winning all the time will force them to keep on going.Its one thing to do this occasionally but these moms made a sort of living of these, and a lot of the children were worn out. So no I am not really a great fan of this.

I believe as long as you find pageants that are age appropriate then it is a good thing and can help the child build beneficial skill sets. Young children should not be being dressed up as if they were full grown women, the pageants should be focusing on their innocence and their youth. Clothing should be cute and non-sexual and make up should not be involved.

While we as a culture sadly have allowed make up to become a common theme amongst young girls studies are showing that make up to early or when to much is worn can age the skin prematurely. Keep in mind the age of your child and don't allow others to dictate how your child should be dressed and you will do fine. The greatest skill a young lady can ever learn is how to lose gracefully and without rancor and how to win the same way. For some children, the ones whose Mothers are not completely off their rocker, those pageants are the perfect setting to teach that.
