Are you comfortable working with a desktop or laptop?  

some people prefer laptops because of their portability. I myself am a sucker for that. I could use my laptop while lying down and it doesnt take up much space. Desktops are easier to upgrade and are much cheaper and powerful than laptops.

For me, working with any would do, I don't actually mind which type of computer I'm working with, as long as it is working according to how I want it to work. :)

I would rather have a desktop computer because, they don't run too hot like a lap top does, I had a lap top computer, and it was a dell lap top, and after the year was up on the computer, the battery started running hot, and I had to keep blowing a fan on the lap top to keep it cooled down, the cost of the battery was too much money. I got rid of the laptop, and brought me desk top from wal-mart.

I'm more comfortable with a desktop. Its what I'm using ever since I started working. I have no problem with laptop but if I'm to choose then I'll pick desktop.

While at home I always prefer to work with a desktop. But when I go out Its necessary to carry the laptop. I think the only advantage of laptop over desktop is it can be carried portably to wherever we want.

I am currently using a laptop to type (like right now). But for portability and flexibility I prefer using my laptop. But more more power, like for editing, I prefer using my desktop. It would really depend on what tasks I am doing.

I don't mind working with both. Laptops gives me portability and I could probably do work anywhere I want, be it at Starbucks or some other place I would like to chill out. As long as the laptop has a modest keyboard and speed, I could probably sit in front of a laptop and work all day long

Now I do agree with you that desktop is much better to do work with since desktops have raw speed to crunch numbers and the keyboards are better to type with. I sometimes have to use softwares such as matlab to do my work and I find that using desktops are way better since they have raw speed to crunch out huge iterations. I tried doing 1000 iterations with a laptop and the laptop just hang and I had to do the coding again from my last save.

I can work with either kind of computer, but for my work, as an on-line English teacher, I like the laptop better. I can move around with it, if I need to find a book or a dictionary,(yes I know that there are on line dictionaries, but for somethings a book is more useful) I also have a few different kinds of headsets, that run on bluetooth and the desktop doesn't have bluetooth. The headphones that I have for the desktop are really heavy and after a while they give me a headache.

I prefer laptop, easy access wherever you are.

i can work with both types of computer but i prefer working with desktop... its more powerful and im more comfortable with it specially when typing.. the laptop's keyboard is too compact for me.. and it gets hot easily in no time..

im comfortable working with both desktop and laptop! when i was still working, my main computer was a laptop and we just have this dock so it connects to a bigger screen. i like laptops because i can bring it to me anywhere i go.
