I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember Ray Stevens. He wrote & sang The Mississippi Squirrel. I thought that was one of the funniest songs I had ever heard!!! Well, Ray is back & he did NOT let me down!!! I've been going through a VERY depressed morning!!!
Fortunately I live alone as this was one of those mornings that, if you had even looked at me, I'd have cried. I surfed the net for a bit, but the depression seemed to be deepening. Suddenly I decided to check my emails & my cousin had sent me this link with a note "You just got to listen to this with speakers full blast!!!" So I turned my volume ALL the way up & clicked on the link. When I saw it was a Ray Stevens song, I smiled & sat back to enjoy. About half way through the song, I burst out laughing I laughed so freaking hard that I started crying...Not just crying, I was sobbing.
Now I feel better!!!!
Ever have one of those days? Did you enjoy this song as much as I did??? Did this song make you feel better?

I do hope you will be feeling better and staying that way..yeah music can help me alot when depressed..but then again some music can make me depressed listening to it..and cry..so I gotta be careful at times what I listen to.

I emailed it to my non-myLot friends & then posted it here. I wanted to share the laughter!!!
I have depressed days every so often & Saturday was just one of those days. I used to try & fight it, but found that made it worse. So now, if I don't have to go anywhere, I just roll with it until it turns loose. I seemed to have woken up in a better frame of mind today.
Yes, music can help or deepen the mood swings & so can movies. I watched several movies yesterday also & I obviously didn't think before putting them in the DVD player. My Sister's Keeper is a good movie, but it made me cry. Sometimes crying it out flushes the depression out along with it. I also watched The Notebook. I had seen it before & thought being prepared for the sad ending would lessen the sadness because I knew to expect it...WRONG!!! Today is my day to take care of my Dad so I'll have to be going out today. Maybe today will be a better day!!!!

I do hope things have been looking up for you and that you are doing well. Thanks for the best response Marissa. I seen this again and still got a giggle out of it and once again sent it to a friend who needed a few laughs so once again thanks.

He's such a funny man! It must be nice to have the gift of making people laugh. I remember hearing one of his songs like Santa Claus is Watching You back in the 60's and having a good laugh.
Do you know he's 71 now?!

I believe he is the only singing comedian in the business. It's hard to believe he's 71, but he was about the same age as my aunt & she's 70. I just wonder if he enjoyed life as much as his music indicated???
