If you can't use your rights do you really have them? Does the constitution protect your rights? Or does the rights of corporations outweigh the rights of the individuals? Those who don't learn from the past will relive it again. Out of all the things that came out of the WTO protest in 2002 the police video itself is the most scary. Why are police arresting and harassing and identifying leaders of protest and who is this film being turned over to. Has it really been so long ago that no one can remember how Nazi Germany began and ended? I must admit I foolishly believed for a time that Obama might undo some of the things in this country that happened under Bush but I see now that the left and right are just two hands on the same corrupt entity.

Both parties are the same really. It is a horrible feeling when you realize both parties are corrupt, unethical jerks that only care about money and power. But it is the reality we have to live with (and hopefully change).
And those kinds of things are still happening now. YOu know the Tea Party people. Well when they have meeting and rallies the police show up and take pictures, copy down license plates numbers on cars and take video too. Trust me...I have seen it happen.
You can find video about it on youtube...where people filmed the cops doing all of that. What they want that information for I don't know. But they definately are collecting it.
Who cares who is in the tea party. Who cares who shows up for rallies as long as they are peaceful. But the government is still collecting that information because they do want to know. They want to know who dares to protest them or call them out on their BS.
I really have not seen much difference between Bush and Obama. I have not seen "change". I see both sides using the same dirty tricks and unethical behavior they condemn the other side for. Hypocrites...all of them.
Neither side really respects your rights or your privacy. Especially if you are speaking out against them.

I think some in our government would love it if protest weren't peaceful. If they do the things they do now with peaceful protest imagine how much worse it will be if people try and be violent. Maybe that's the agenda push us until they have a reason to declare martial law than they can do whatever they please with no threat of political repercussion.
