Who is Your Shadow?

My daughter has this friend that lives her life through my daughter. I think my daughter was flattered when they were younger, but now it has become an annoyance. This friend tries to live her life as if she is my daughter, copying and shadowing everything my daughter does. I have a co-worker who covets my life as well; she has taken it to another level and is extremely passive-aggressive towards me. Her mission in life seems to be to ruin mine (without success mind you). She often times will shadow my life the same as my daughter's little friend shadows hers. Personally, I think this behavior is bordering on sickness and it makes me a bit leary. Does anyone else have a shadow?
