Manual transmission gives better mileage than automatic. So if you plan to drive mostly in city traffic, you should go for manual transmission. Either of them is good for driving along freeways. In addition, aggressive drivers like manual transmission because they can speed up very quickly. Automatic transmission cars are comfortable to drive since you do not need to worry about changing gears. Finally it is very expensive to fix automatic transmission if it fails, compared to manual transmission.

The manual transimission does get a lot of mileage and also gives you more control in acceleration than the automatic ones. I still prefer to drive an automatic though since it is much more comfortable in long drives and in long traffic. I have both on my garage.

Hi bart!In the past, technology has improved a lot, accurate, sufficient, fast, and high impact designs cars are on the streets...almost all cars now are the same when it comes to its transmission, automatic or Manual...Automatic is much comfortable to drive then manual, because only one foot is used and the other foot is relax, and when it comes to power, automatic and manual trans are almost the same now...it all depends on the drivers ability and style...But in races i think Manual is used..thanks!
