Sales tax at craft fairs

Does anyone have experience selling at craft fairs in different states, who can tell me what the sales tax laws are in that state? I was wondering if you have to charge sales tax in your state even when you only do an occasional sale, and how complicated the process is. Thank you.

I also have a tax id and I pay sales tax on all sales in the state- whether at a show or online. I know a few of the my neighboring states require me to apply for a temp tax id to shows in their state.
