We all love the rebate promotion from the newspaper ads every weekend. We love to hunt for the cheapest price after rebate, and I certainly will follow the procedure to fill out the rebate form in attempt to collect portion of the money back after we purchase a certain items. But actually how many of those businesses nowadays actually honor those rebate form we, as customers sent out? I think the statistics probably is 90% of them. They will try to make the condition un - rebatable, even you follow all the necessary procedures. Also, even when you call their customer services, there won't be any solution for it. So, even you saw those rebate promotion to be tempted, is it worth it?

I don't rebate a lot, but when I have 9 times out of 10 I did get my rebate. Does this happen all the time or is it a specific company? I would call customer service again and tell them that if they don't respond to you then you are going to go on line and tell everyone about their unscrupulas practices and how they don't keep promises. I bet that will get a reaction out of them.

Well, that will work. But you have to keep in mind, those customer service operators are not suppose to make decision. They didn't train to be that way. They are trained to say "no" to customers all the time. So, you might have to get the big boy attention, then you have a leverage to negotiate.
